In an attempt to get all these tutorials done so she can access more of the game, the wolf eared woman quickly queued up the next tutorial she wanted to get done. And despite already having plenty of pokemon in her roaster, it seems that the ‘catching’ tutorial was the last one on the list. A heavy sigh escaped the woman, wishing these games were smart enough to see she already knew how to catch pokemon. How annoying.
Either way, it needed to be done so the notifications can stop screaming at her on the daily. A simply hand gesture brought up the wall of text, pale golden orbs skimmed through it until she was able to start it.
TUTORIAL 004 - WHAT”S THE CATCH? LOADING NOW…
Rhaenyra grunted, arms folded over her chest. However, the game loaded swiftly. A loud chime rang in her wolf ears, a red beckon flashed on her mini map near by her. It startled her almost every time. The mini map expanded to show another beckon in the tall gross further up the road. Once she acknowledged the games directive, it shrunk and returned to the corner of her vision. Another prompted popped up.
MEET UP WITH YOUR TUTORIAL PARTNER AND CAPTURE A POKEMON SUCCESSFULLY
Gaze lifted to her mini map again, noting that this The Captain fellow was due north of her. Grunting to herself again, the silvery grey haired woman made her way in their direction. It felt strange to Rhaenyra to do these tutorials with other players. Normally, she had to do these solo in the games. Do all virtual reality games make you do them other players?

TUTORIAL 004 - WHATS THE CATCH? "Huh..." Alright, so, here's the thing... The Captain had just been minding his own business, messing around with his UI as one does when one doesn't have a damn clue what one's doing in this game, and then suddenly... Poof! This tutorial thing pops up when pressing one of the little icons. "Maaaaan, the hell? There's a tutorial for that? Sure would've been helpful when I spent like an hour figurin' how to find those damn Pokeh-ball-things." The Captain sighs, yet a chuckle escapes his lips, because truth be told, he still kind of struggles with it. Hell... He struggles with just about everything in this game, let's be honest. " 'Right! So... Tutorial me up!"MEET UP WITH YOUR TUTORIAL PARTNER AND CAPTURE A POKEMON SUCCESSFULLY "Oh... YO!" Of course, The Captain doesn't bother with looking at any maps. Instead, he looks around, waving at the first person he sees. That would be a woman with silver hair and animal ears (Twinsies?!). He calls out loudly, giving her a smirk. "ARE YOU MY TUTORIAL PARTNER?"This is going to go great, clearly. The Captain thinks so, at least.

Pale golden orbs shifted to the sound of a man shouting from a distance, arm flailing in the air in a waving like matter to both greet her and get her attention. Rhaenyra, or Wolf now that she changed her username, grunted to herself. Gaze flickered to the marker on the map, noting that this player was indeed the partner she was paired with.
The woman fought the urge to give a polite smile and finger wiggling wave back, Rhaenyra wasn’t that type of person. Instead, she held her traditional emotionless mask and gave him a single nod in greetings once she was within range of communication.
“Hey there-“ she paused briefly, gaze flickered to the username that hovered above his head, “The Captain.” Long wolf tail flickered, left ear twitched Don’t laugh. Don’t laugh. Emotionless. Hold your character. “It looks like we need to catch a pokemon together or something along those lines. Ready to head out?” Surely, this should be quick and easy one. Everyone knows how to catch a pokemon, right?

The Captain, as is all too suitable for his name, is dressed in a pirate getup, his coat being adorned by golden seashells. He even has a cool tricorn hat, but ever since he had discovered that having dog ears and wearing hats is like wearing two hats at once — AKA uncomfortable and annoying — said hat has remained in the ether of his inventory for the most part. Also because he's not entirely sure of how to open his inventory even now, but let's not go in on that.
"Sure, thing... Wolf!" He agrees, grinning all too radiantly as he reads the name. Ah, so that's what it is: wolf ears and a wolf's tail! His are more dog-inspired (particularly to mimic Remy's own Australian Kelpie), as is perhaps made evident by the light and completely unintentional wag of a tail. Funny how those animal features just seem to go along with the player's emotions, right?
"Do you think any Pokémon will do or that we'll have to catch an specific one?" He wonders, looking around in search for potentially-catchable wildlife.

Doing her best to keep up the act of ‘Wolf’ and not breaking the character she was so desperately trying to portray inside of the game, the hybrid offered the other player a small half smirk and a stiff nod when he confirmed he was ready to head out in search for a pokemon to catch.
Pale golden orbs shifted over the digital enhanced terrain, wolf ears perched forward without her knowledge as he did bring up a good point. One she didn’t really think about. “I’m not really sure,” she admitted, advancing forward further into the wilderness of the surrounding area, “It didn’t state what specific pokemon we need to encounter to catch. I would assume, any pokemon would do as long as we have the tutorial activated.”
Though normally in these pokemon games (or at least as far as she could remember), there was usually a specific pokemon they want you to catch. Hmmmm… “... Maybe a prompt will pop up once we run into said pokemon we need to catch...” Maybe. Possible. Perhaps.

"Hmm..." Those canine ears of his drop for a second or two, perhaps reflecting how he's confused about the task at hand and giving some thought to what they're supposed to do. Yet, once those two second pass, they perk up once more, for our Captain is ever one to be confident in his action.
"Alright, well... Only one way to find out!" He smirks, and bringing a Pokéball out from somewhere in the inner pockets of his nice pirate coat, he clicks its button to release a Mudkip. "Happy, on your guard. We might have a battle coming."
<'Eep!'> The Mudkip agrees with a nod, taking quick steps to stand at The Captain's side. Once this is done, The Captain himself steps forward... directly into the tall grass.

Judging by the other players reaction, they didn’t know how to activate the ‘catching’ tutorial either. Mentally, Wolf grunted to herself and tried to think of how a game maker would. In the normal pokemon games she has played over the many years, the woman remembers just straight up running into the tall grass without hesitation as soon as she was free from the non-stop chit chatting the games made you go through. Other than maybe ‘fainting’ in the first battle, there was no fear really. Just… the thrill of exploring.
That wasn’t the case in Unvor. At least, not completely.
If she wasn’t careful, it could cost her big time in the game. Although she wouldn’t lose her life, it could affect her game play. Surely, it wasn’t a smart idea. However, this was a tutorial for beginners. And if they were beginners, this means their ‘first catch’ should be sort of easy. Right… Right?
The sudden summon of the other players creature snapped Wolf back into the game, blinking before nodding. She reached into her pockets, plucking her own creature in hopes to ‘activate’ the catching tutorial. The ball burst open, revealing to the other player that she was indeed… not a newbie. The Braixen held a serious look on her face, gaze flickered from @captian and his mudkip to Wolf. “We're catching a pokemon. Should be easy for you.” She gave a single nod in understanding.
The Captain was the first to approach the tall grass. And almost like magic, the battle music started and a wild pokemon appeared. The purple and cream furred feline hissed angrily, swiping at them with its claws. Wolf’s ears perked up, surprised that it actually worked though didn’t waste no time on that matter. “Alright Izumi. You might be little too strong soooo... use scratch... gently?” “Got it!”
The stranding fox darted forward, running almost like a ninja in those anime shows. She circled the feline, waiting for an opening before reaching out to SCRATCH at the cat with her own claws. Wolf hoping she doesn’t one-hit to allow the other player a hit before the can capture it.

"[...]use scratch... gently?" Wolf had said, but the catfight that ensues when a little purple cat pops out of the grass it had been hiding amongst isn't really much of a catfight at all. One swipe and done. Knockout. "Damn, you're a tough little one. Nicely done." The Captain congratulates his companion's Pokémon with a short-lived laugh. Short-lived because when he reaches for a Pokéball as he has previously done for captures, something else appears... this time out of thin air. It's pink and blocky and it doesn't really look like a proper animal at all, and here and there, parts of it fade into little blocks only to reappear within seconds. It speaks to them in a way that reminds The Captain of the little clip that used to appear when opening a Word doc. Clippy? Was that its name? What happened to that little guy, anyway? 'It looks like you're trying to catch a Pokémon. Would you like help?'"I-..." He looks at Wolf, shrugging in pure confusion. Is this the actual tutorial part of all of this? Had it just been slow to appear or something? "Well... Sure? It's already kinda dead so..."'Great!'Is that actually great?! 'If you want to catch a Pokémon, they must be at less that 10% of their max. HP or knocked out. Here, throw this at it!'Spheres materialise before them, not unlike those Pokéballs The Captain had previously used to catch Pokémon, but where those are red and white, these ones appear as if made out of solid gold. They seem just as light to him, though. "You know what... Sure, why not."In acceptance, he chucks the ball towards the unconscious cat, and the floating pink blocky chirps: 'Activating the Golden Pokeball to catch a Pokémon costs -25 BYTES.' Aw, man. His bytes! That's like... the game's money, right? Maybe he shouldn't 'aw, man' when he doesn't even know what this thing is talking about. 'Up to two players can catch a copy of the wild Pokémon!'"Guess that's your cue, Wolf." The Captain adds then, smiling despite the oddity of the situation. Honestly, it's kind of funny to him.

It would’ve seemed that she was just too strong. Izumi strolled right up to the vile hissing cat. A single paw rose, her claws out in preparation for the battle. The feline hissed even louder, arching its back and all. Her paw moved, being as gentle as she could with her SCRATCH. However, she wasn’t gentle enough. Claws came down, knocking the poor feline out cold with one hit. Wolf was speechless, the poor thing. Izumi turned to her, eyes wide with sorry. “It’s alright,” she sighed to her braxien, shoulders rose and fell with a shrug, “Enjoy the moment. Not everything will be this easy.” Izumi nodded, a hint of a smirk on her lips when the other player complimented her on her hit. Suddenly, a prompt filled her vision. Guiding her though step by step how to access her inventory, move through her items, and find the GOLDEN BALL she had to use this time for capturing said close to dead purrloin. It was hard to hide the heavy sigh that escaped her, doing as the game wished despite already knowing all of this. She tired to remind herself that this was her own fault, should’ve done them sooner. CAPTURE THE KNOCKED OUT WILD POKEMON “Yeah. Yeah. Yeah,” she mumbled to herself, observing though fainted prompt as the other player captured one and offering for her to capture it as well. With a flick of the wrist, Wolf sent the ball at the purrloin and watched it wiggle like they always do. Her gaze shifted to The Captain giving him a nod. “It’s not like we really have a choice in the matter, right?”
