Tiernan had weighed his options- On one side was Professor Ash, who had sent a message warning trainers of the dangers, and instructing all to not enter. On the other was Dr. Bunya, who had requested trainers did go in to the newly-opened Mistra. It wasn't that he desired to enter- rather, he wanted to complete Bunya's request quickly, to keep more people out if the dangerous place.

With Rae'shalarae at his side, he crossed through the barrier.

What he saw was a world not his own. His eye fell first upon aventurine grass, and sapphirine sky. The trees were golden as they twisted for the sky, leaves the gleaming red-orange of autumn. Though he kept his guard up, nothing felt... dangerous or threatening. There were fields and gentle rising cliffs, waterfalls into soft pools, and-

A city, in the distance, edged in massive floating gemstones, bright turqoise and edged in gold.

It was impossibly beautiful, and there was smoke rising from the city. It was slow and languid, a reminder rather than a current threat.

Tiernan frowned, starting towards the city- freezing as something crunched under his boot- the man looking down to see a half crushed skull, in not soft grass but blackened ashes, a decayed trail leading from the forest beyond into the city.

Littered and lined with bone- bone that was beginning to move.
