Morgana also stopped laughing as the Tropius bent down and plucked Sarah Lee 's hairpin from her head like a child picking a dandelion.

The Pokemon was huge. Chryssa had been to museums and seen dinosaur skeletons, but seeing one in the flesh was different. She wondered what it would feel like to have those huge, flat teeth crunch through your skull instead of your hair ornament and had a moment where she felt very sorry for the wounded Oddish.

She recovered from her surprise. "Who, me? Why, if you insist," she said airily, summoning Guillotine and shaking the Piplup out like a wet umbrella. She gripped the little penguin firmly by the feet and pointed her straight up in the air. "I will."

Guillotine began to frantically beat her flippers. Bergamot's gaze never left Sarah Lee as the straining Piplup attempted to tow her owner into the air like a living propeller hat (with about as much success). The faintest hint of exasperation crossed Morgana's face before she finally settled for kicking off the ground, giving the penguin Pokemon the boost she needed.

Morgana's high heels pointed at Sarah Lee like compass needles as she slowly drifted into the air, moving at about the rate of an aquarium jellyfish. Her hair flowed around her as if tossed by water, skirts rippling beneath invisible waves.

They finally gained some momentum after a few minutes of this and Morgana enjoyed a leisurely lift into the Canopy treetops, where the head of the dinosaur Pokemon was still waiting. Sarah Lee's hairpin was currently stuck between the Pokemon's flat, plant-chomping teeth, where the distinctive odor of wasabi was coming out in acrid waves. It mixed with the too-sweet smell of bananas from the creature's throat. Disgusting...

Now that she was up here, Bergamot saw no real reason to fight this Pokemon. It had moved on to stripping tasty-looking leaves from the tree canopy, and barely seemed cognizant of the pin between its teeth. "Lower... a little lower..." she instructed Guillotine. Looking like she was dangling on the end of a suspension wire, Bergamot finally found herself within arm's reach of the oblivious Tropius.

Triumphantly, she reached out with a hand and snatched the hairpin, pulling it to safety.

Safety for her.

"You miscalculated, Oddish girl," the smug voice came from above. Who could have ever imagined Bergamot Gristleborg might betray and double-cross them? "Now that I have your precious hairpin, all the cards are in my hands! Ohohohoho!" Her high-pitched laughter annoyed the Tropius, who looked up from its grazing. It flapped its leafy wings, using a GUST attack to whip up the air.

Caught up in the sudden turbulence, Bergamot was swept away by the sudden current. Cursing could be heard as the airborne duo crashed through a set of nearby branches. "Ow! Ow! ...If you want to see your hairpin alive, you'll have to catch me!" her voice drifted back through the trees. "Ha! Ha!"
