Crap crap crap crap.Day 1 of UNOVRCon, Kenny had been all over Codie's Arcade. He'd run his feet raw in the Midas Rush Temple Run knockoff, and been so tired afterwards he'd spent the rest of the afternoon crashing in the hotel room while his little sister Summer went to some fan panel by herself (ClanWar: Worldstorm? Was she getting into that?)
He'd completely forgotten to get a stamp. He'd even seen the kiosk, set up right near the entrance of the arcade, but he'd thought "oh, I'll just get it on my way out" and then totally spaced it. But it wasn't too late, right? Not on the last day of the convention?
The teen boy stopped dead in his tracks as he came down the escalators and found himself faced with a massive line of people. "Holy cow! The line's huge!" he exclaimed, craning his head and standing on his tiptoes to try and see to the front.
"Did everyone wait until the last day to collect all their stamps?" Summer asked incredulously. She'd come along with him, not wanting to be left behind, but she already had her Player stamp. She'd been collecting them religiously, and had done a much better job being thorough than Kenny had. He'd been too busy goofing off in Nintendo Labo land to bother trying to pick up collectibles. Now what?
"Well, we better get in line," he said, not down for long. All these people were probably UNOVR fans, right? He could make some new friends! Or maybe meet some people he recognized!
He pulled up his app to see if anyone from his Friends List was coincidentally hanging around trying to get a last-minute Player stamp, and struck up conversation with the people closest to him and Summer in line. "Hi! Crazy line, huh? Did you just get here today, or have you been here for the whole event? What was your favorite arcade game? What's your favorite Pokemon? I got a Gigantimax Pikachu plushie, it's cute, right?"
