Since our Beta launch we've been hard at work adding, tweaking, and fixing. Patch 0.2 is all about quality of life improvements and getting the site running as smooth as Silcoon. You can check it out here!

Patch 0.1 is here, and with it, the opening of Beta Island! This glorious, sunlit isle is just a hop, skip and a shipwreck away from the Asper mainland, and is full of lush, untextured jungle, buggy beaches, and Pokemon that run according to their programming.

"Are you ready for some training?" she asked her Tepig. Chell was standing very still on the sand nearby. She breathed little clouds of embers, watching, entranced, as they changed color with every breath. "I can change the colors!" she said, puffing out purple sparks. "Because I'm a Kindler." "Yeah, but this is all me." Chell took a deep breath and shot a lungful of yellow embers dancing along the sands. "Well you'll need more than yellow fire to defeat a water type." "A water type? Uh, maybe we should go and ask for that Bulbasaur back." "Nonsense. We'll start easy. There's nothing to it. Just like any other battle, right?" Sarah asked, her words clear and steely. Tepig held her tongue, sighed out some blue embers, and nodded. "Wonderful," she said, in the same way someone says 'The End' when they've finished reading a book to a child. Sarah brought up her UI and equipped her brand new Fishing Rod. It was sleek and spotless, without a hint of rust of salt wear. She'd purchased the bright red one (of course) and had even paid a little extra for the Wurmple lure. With a practiced whip of her arm, she cast the lure into the surf, and waited.

Sarah called, hauling on her line. The Magikarp had taken her Wurmple lure and was now firmly caught. She reeled in the prize, flicking the rod at the last moment to land the startled fish on the sand. "There! Now show me your heat!" she called, challenging Tepig. The Magikarp flapped around, kicking up sand and splashing water on Chell. "Okay! Here we go!" She took a deep, crackling breath of dry, beach air and blew it back out in a cloud of burning saffron flames. The sands warped and smoked, and the Magikarp was engulfed in the color-coded attack.

She beamed down at Tepig. "My little fuzzy furnace, this is just the beginning."
