Since our Beta launch we've been hard at work adding, tweaking, and fixing. Patch 0.2 is all about quality of life improvements and getting the site running as smooth as Silcoon. You can check it out here!

Patch 0.1 is here, and with it, the opening of Beta Island! This glorious, sunlit isle is just a hop, skip and a shipwreck away from the Asper mainland, and is full of lush, untextured jungle, buggy beaches, and Pokemon that run according to their programming.

Well, according to your wiki page you become a dragon." She looked the little gecko up and down. It watched her back, first with one eye and then the other. "I don't see it, but stranger things have happened. Magikarp doesn't look like a fearsome predator, but evolution is a powerful force." The pair stood at the thin stretch of grass and fallen leaves that divided the rainforest proper from the sizzling dunes of the coast. The air was thick with cicada calls and the crunch and sweep of waves along the sand. Sarah took a deep breath of hot air and strode down the beach. "We'll start out easy. I quick test battle before I put you up against something more challenging, like a fire or flying type." She reached the shore, unsheathed her fishing rod, and with a swing and a flick she sent the lure soaring out into the surf.

It sizzled and jumped, flopping back towards the safety of the ocean. "Now! Attack!" Sarah called. She'd already memorized Treecko's moveset, but from what she'd seen the AI for each Pokemon had a unique preference for certain moves. Though they weren't 'real', they certainly felt that way, and she felt like there was less resistance when they used their 'favorite move' Treecko tilted its head, looking at the struggling fish. Was it strong? Fast? Special? What should she expect? Treecko opened its mouth, and with a sound like a blocked vaccuum it lunged forward and clamped its rubbery mouth around the fish. "Mega Drain!" Health and color drained from the black and gray foe, leaving it scales and whiskers pale and washed out. It struggled in Treecko's maw.

Sarah said proudly, watching as Treecko munched on the fish. "It was super effective, to be fair, but knocking out an enemy in a single attack is always the best way." She liked this lizard. It was sleek, lime green, and its weird eyes were growing on her. "We'll make a dragon of you yet," she said. Treecko burped.
