THE ROOKERY
where every pokemon of unovr comes to nest
You find yourself standing in a Giant Nest, constructed by what you can only imagine must be a massive bird at the top of a steep spire overlooking the Briarbane Coast. Twigs, rushes, and grass have been woven expertly together to form a safe shelter for Pokemon Eggs of every imaginable variety. It seems like every Pokemon in UNOVR comes to this singular nest to lay their eggs.
The Rookery is always a blur of activity with wild Pokemon visitors coming and going, Pokemon Breeders desperately trying to sort its disorganized contents, and Pokemon Trainers (like yourself) dropping in, hoping to pick up a new teammate.Note that it is possible to do an Egg Hunt with multiple players! However, the egg may take longer to find (an average of 2 more posts per additional player). Please make a note in the mod request of how many others will be joining!
- Starting an Egg Hunt is free of charge!
- You (OOC) may only visit the Rookery once per season! Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
- 🎁 If it's your Birthday Month, you can claim a birthday voucher for one additional entry as well!
- HOW TO START: First, post in Mod Requests! A mod will start a (seasonally-themed) Egg Hunt thread for you in the Rookery board. You can now roleplay your character and their Pokemon searching for a Mystery Egg, which will appear anywhere between 2-6 posts later.
- When you find an egg, post again in Mod Requests to have it identified! You can request a TYPE for 200 BYTES or go true random.
- 🎁 If it's your Birthday Month, specifying a type is also free!
- After a mod replies identifying your egg, you must hatch it in-character to have it added to your box. Feel free to do this in Pokemon Refresh, a personal IC thread, or even in the same Egg Hunt!
Remember to check the Pokemon Locations list to find out your new Pokemon's rarity!

InSPRING, the Rookery is beset by flocks of wild Pokemon who come to lay their eggs in the giant nest at the top. Not all Pokemon can fly, and the exterior of the tower is covered in stairs, handholds, vines, tiny waterfalls, and dozens of rest spots for weary climbers. It's a great hike, if you don't mind moving vertically, and there are a thousand tiny spots for a misplaced egg to go unseen.
But hold onto your shells, because egg hunting isn't all walks in the park and sniffing flowers and stuff! When the going gets tough and eggs are out past dinnertime, the breeders at the Rookery send out their crack squad (no pun intended) of Navy Shells (pronounces she-L's) to fight off any egg-sucking Pokemon that might have mistaken this nursery for an all you can eat buffet. It'sSummerTime! Streams of crystalline water trickle down the Rookery tower, collecting at the bottom in calm pools filled with water Pokemon and pool toys. To beat the heat, even the eggs have been outfitted with water wing(s) and safety inner tubes to prevent them being bumped too hard or sinking to the bottom of the pool.
Instead of aggressive competition, the Pokemon in the pools are happy to share their new wet, eggy, friends, as long as you play some games with them first!
Arm-wrestle the Poliwrath, make the Buizel laugh, or play a high-octane game of Spheal-ball. Anything that injects some of that Summer fun into the pool!{MOD ONLY}[blockquote][div align="center"][h4][b]SUMMER EGG HUNT[/b]

InAUTUMN, you'll find the base of the Rookery tower is a mess. The dropped twigs and straw from thousands upon thousands of nests have clumped into vast, crunchy hills that Breeders patiently rake out of the pathways. Scraps of moss have taken root in the fertile soil, spreading to provide a patchy covering to the land.
But there is gold in these hills. The gold of eggs that have fallen from their nests, only to land safely in the beds of fallen leaves.

While the real-world seasons may not strongly affect most of UNOVR, inWINTER, the Rookery transforms yet again. The stone tower, with its giant nest at the top, has been converted into an epic ski/sled course. From steep black diamond runs to gentle sledding slopes, there's room for players of all kinds to enjoy these last few weeks of winter.
And who knows? Maybe you'll even find a Pokemon egg buried in a snowdrift!
BEWARE: Hungry, egg-craving Pokemon sled these slopes as well, trying to beat you to a snowy winter omelet. Keep an eye on these scavengers or you'll find nothing but yolk on these slippery slopes!{MOD ONLY}[blockquote][div align="center"][h4][b]WINTER EGG HUNT[/b]
