"You know, for as long as you have been with me, I still know very little about you." Laguna spoke softly, her feet dangling down into the wateras she sat aboard an old rotting dock. Her eyes gazing out over the horizon, watching the sun set.
"What is there to know?" Sir Hail began, the knightly Cryogonal had his chains wraped around one of the pillars. "I am now, and forever always, your loyal servant."
"Servant... Sir Hail, you're my friend." Laguna frowned, glancing back at the Cryogonal. His lack of a proper mouth betrayed little emotion. "And yet, I say that, without even knowing what you like besides combat. And you know I don't even fight that often anymore. Why do you-" Why does he stay, is what she wanted to say, but she silenced herself before that.
Sir Hail was quiet, glancing off into the distance as well. Eventually, the frozen snowflake pokemon spoke. "You prove your strength to me in many different ways, My Lady. It is not your combat prowess that keeps me here, even if it was what enthralled me to you. Nay, it is your strength of spirit."
Laguna looked like she was going to speak up, only for Sir Hail to keep going. "There comes a time within every soldier's life, that they must make a choice for which to fight for. For the glory of honorable combat? Why, yes. There is strength in fighting an equal, if not greater foe. But there is greater strength found in your cause, than anything I have seen. I am with you, even now, because I believe in you."

Laguna couldn't help but tear up hearing his words, the droplets dripping down off her face and swiftly joining the rest of the salty ocean. He truly believed, he truly understod. And he truly cared for her.
She'd stand up on shaky legs to move to hug him, but it was Sir Hail who approached first instead. His frozen chains would wrap around her torso, squeezing gently in appreciation. "You are one of a kind, Ma'am. You never need to doubt my position. For I promise, as long as I remain me, I am ever your loyal, faithful shield."
With a wide smile, Laguna would immediately hug them back, arms wrapping around them, as difficult as that was, and squeezing them close. "You know, I never knew you were so great with words. Thank you. I promise, I'll never forget."
"As you shouldn't-" Sir Hail suddenly stopped his words mid conversation, dropping out of her embrace and twisting around. He heard something approaching, ever vigilant even during such an emotional moment.

"What is it?" Laguna began, instinctively reaching her arm out as Sir Hail's chains wrapped around her wrist, being wielded like a proper shield to protect his trainer.
"That." He'd guide Laguna's arm until it was pointing at a pile of floating trash. Plastic bags, water bottles, and ruined Pokemon League merchandise, but tucked in between it all floated the head of a Nihilego. It was floating there, as if watching and listening in intently.
However, upon being noticed, it suddenly ripped itself up out of the waters with an unearthly shriek. A powerful light began to build up within its glassy head, and instinctively Laguna held up Sir Hail. "Light Screen!" Both shouted at once, as the shimmering wall of force formed, protecting them from the sudden burst of light, Power Gem, that attempted to rock the two of them.
"I guess it didn't like losing in hide and seek!" Laguna quipped, and she swore she heard Sir Hail chuckle.

After the burst of light didn't demolish the threat in one blast, it seemed the Nihilego swiftly grew intrigued. It began to twist about and float closer, no further light, no dripping poison, but there was no telling the truth when it came to beings that thought entirely differently than they could comprehend. It was like trying to communicate with an insect. They used pheremones and other signals that humans couldn't comprehend or understand.
"Ma'am, what is the play?" Sir Hail began, clearly itching to fight, but deferring his intense passion for Laguna's judgement instead.
Laguna's eyes gazed across the Nihilego... and realizing she had soft spot for them. Without a single further second of debate, she spoke up. "We're going to befriend them."
"Aye aye. Ma'am." Sir Hail responded without a single moment of hesitation, trusting so implicitly in her judgement. "And how shall we do that?"
"We do that by following its own footsteps. Metaphorically." She added on, after glancing down at the lack of feet. "We run, and hide. And then reveal ourselves too when it finds us. Maybe we can find some common ground."
"Understood!" With that, the two suddenly dashed backwards off the dock, and leaped straight down into the waters as the Nihilego gave chase.

Ostelia was something new, and Celeste was quite enjoying the new. It was a dangerous place, to be true, but she kept to herself more often than not in this dangerous realm. Sitting atop a ruined ship out in the harbor, piled upwards, she'd sit atop a small stool and simply write down her thoughts. She couldn't easily translate the writings out of UNOVR, but that was never the intent. It was simply writing for writing's sake.
Her writing stops, hearing a sudden commotion in the distance. Combat. She supposed she should have expected this, it was a dangerous place. She folded her book back up, standing to her feet as she overlooked the edge of the ship to watch and listen into the conversation that followed.
The Trainer looked plenty capable, yet she was surprised when they didn't immediately move to bashing the transparent jellyfish's face in. What was this about befriending it? Playing hide and seek? A faint smirk had formed over Celeste's face, incredibly curious.
How intriguing.
Perhaps she should join in, a little surprise for all involved. Celeste would take a few steps forwards off the edge of the ship, like walking the plank, only to suddenly drop down and fall into the waters below to keep watching. The trainer was remarkably quick with their swimming speed, but the Nihilego was right on their tale. They'd never get a chance to put their plan into effect and hide, if they hadn't a chance to hide.
Humming in thought, and blessed with the Swimmer ability to breath beneath water, and speak just flawlessly, she placed her fingers by her lips, and suddenly whistled incredibly loudly, distracting the Nihilego, watching it twist and turn around in response to the loud noise. Only after she watched the girl vanish into the darkness, she Celeste make a large, dramatic bow and swam further downwards as well to join them.

The whistle in the distance under the water not only got the Nihilego's attention, but Laguna's. She glanced back just in time to see the orange-robed woman, before her Cryogonal encouraged her to keep going down.
"It matters now whom she is, they aid our goal. Descend!" Sir Hail spoke, and she couldn't agree more. Down they want, into the darkness of the depths of the harbor.
Trying to figure out where to hide was more challenging than she thought, it wasn't as if she was suddenly the color of trash or could camouflage that well. Her eyes swiftly scanned across the seafloor, before noticing a large old oil drum. Silently, she dragged Sir Hail over with her, climbing into the oil drum and waiting quietly.
Patiently.
Within view, she saw the Nihilego finally enter the area, descending down like a ghostly angel upon the sea floor, drifting forwards. She couldn't tell if it was even looking for them, but she had no reason to presume that it wasn't. What else would it be doing?
Unless it was now looking for that other girl.
Laguna glanced out, finding the orange robe remarkably easy admist the dark ocean waves, they were still rushing to swim downwards. Biting her lip, she'd whisper to Sir Hail. "Cause a distraction, please?"
"Understood." An icy chain swiftly reached out of the barrel, grabbing a handfold of rocks and suddenly whipping them hard into the distance, smacking against the supporting pillars of the docks.
The Nihilego immediately twisted and turned, swimming through the water less like a jellyfish, and more like a jet as it suddenly dashed over there with surprising speed. It's stone head slammed into the rotted support, and the whole dock began to crumble, slowly but surely, stirring up sand, driftwood, and other garbage. Letting out quiet sigh of relief at not being found yet, nor the other woman, Laguna would suddenly open up her local chat to message and communicate to the stranger.

Celeste was quiet, having no Pokemon with her to speak to, she had no reason to make a sound. She descended down to the ocean floor, watching the rage-filled Nihilego slam into the dock and watch the whole thing begin to crumble. Was this truly the Pokemon worth playing Hide and Seek with? Curiousity alone kept her here, sliding under the remains of an old broken canoe, curling up with her head barely exposed to watch the scene before it.
It was quite interesting. Most players who encountered a Pokemon seemed to simply beat it up and capture it, or just leave it completely alone. Or perhaps, just beat it up to beat it up anyways. Perhaps players here on the NA server were a bit more different than she was expecting.
She watched the Ultra Beast twist around furiously, seemingly searching for the source of the noise. Perhaps it was her turn once again to take charge of the attention, allow this Laguna person to have a moment to reposition, or perhaps escape to recuperate for a moment.
Tentacles suddenly wrapped around an oil drum, and Celeste didn't even think twice before typing another message. Poison was suddenly dripping down into the container, even as it seemed to not quite realize what it had truly found.
Another loud whistle suddenly sounded, and the Nihilego dropped the oil drum with a thud, immediately swimming in her direction.

Celeste, huh? She hadn't seen them around before. But despite strange first meetings, she was certainly grateful. Quick thinking was something she could appreciate. Still, it was dangerous! Far be it for her to chastise someone else about being foolhardy and leaping straight into danger, but still.
Before she could really respond, she felt her hideout suddenly being lifted up from the ground, poison already leaking in through holes in the metal cannister. Laguna's eyes widened, ready to feel the pain, but before she can even process what was happening, Sir Hail shifted into the path, using Acid Armor and liquifying his body somewhat to lessen the effects of the acidic poison that dripped over them.
And then suddenly, another text, another whistle, and the Nihilego zoomed off again. "Sir Hail, we need to-"
"Nonsense," Said the Pokemon, already trying to ready to fight properly. But his chains were limp, clearly injured. "I can-"
"No. No buts. Your health matters more."
The two stared at each other for a few moments, two stubborn walls glaring at each others gaze before one of them crumbled. "... Okay." And with that, Sir Hail suddenly vanished back into the Pokeball.Laguna would immediately climb out of the barrel, swimming upwards as fast as she can, only to pause for just a second and text right back. She couldn't just leave without a word!
And with that, Laguna swiftly twisted around in the water and kicked her legs to climb back to the surface.

How plasma does things?
Celeste couldn't help but wonder the implications of those words, even as the Nihilego bared down around her. It was ripping apart the rubbish down here, pulling apart further the rubble that fell. Luckily, a log from the dock had sunken down atop her hiding place, covering the canoe, making it all the more unlikely she was here.
Although, thinking about it, she didn't really have an easy way out, either. She was kind of stuck.
The minutes passed by as the Nihilego continued its distructive nature, ripping apart everything it can to try and find them.
Did they really expect a random trainer to not combat this obvious threat? Who were they to suggest such a feat for someone? Certainly Celeste was no random trainer, and was more than amenable enough and curious enough to see what the end goal of all of this was in the end. But even still, she was lost in her thoughts despite the violence surrounding her. Plasma? She recognized the term, likely relating to the Pokemon team and not oddly enough, the state of matter or blood plasma. Team Plasma, then? The truth was, Celeste didn't have much information on Pokemon as a whole, more willing to embrace this specific world for what it was, but she did research what Unova was supposed to be like once upon a time.
How peculiar. She'd have to ask when they returned.
So she waited, and waited, but they had yet to return, leaving her trapped in the metaphorical lion's den, waiting to be eaten as she formulated a plan to attemptto handle the Ultra Beast without volence. And sure enough, eventually the Nihilego began ripping apart her hiding place. The log was ripped in half, the canoe lifted up and then their tentacles-
Stopped?
A bright light was suddenly emanating from Celestes palm. A glowing pearl that immediately banished away the darkness, lighting up the area as if a small star had landed within her grasp. It was Her Eye. She was watching over here, even now, confirmed by the fact that the Ultra Beast was suddenly stunned, glancing down at the bright light in their hands.
"You like this?" Celeste finally spoke, even as she stood completely still beneath the waves. "I know some of your kind was carrying lights out across the sea. I figured, this was close enough, isn't it?"
The Nihilego did not respond, seemingly just staring.

Laguna wasn't sure what she was supposed to find when she came back, swimming as fast as she could with Sir Hail strapped to her back. The bottom of the harbor here was destroyed, ripped apart and melted apart with acid. There was little hope that the trainer who she had left, was still somehow hiding without ever being found.
Only, she didn't seem to be hiding at all.
It was like something out of a storybook. The beast calmed, by the glowing light. Both looked ethereal in the bright glow of the dark ocean waters, the light shimmering through the translucent glass form of the Nihilego.
It was absolutely beautiful.
"Sir Hail?" Laguna spoke ever so softly, grinning to herself as she immediately began to look into her own inventory.
"Yes, Ma'am?" Sir Hail watched the situation, obviously guarded but still curious himself.
"Watch our backs. Literally. I think this woman discovered the secret to befriending this one."Sir Hail simply saluted, detaching from Laguna's back as she sank lower and lower. It was beyond clear how hesitant he was to leave her side, but clearly he trusted Laguna to take care of her side. He stood back, his threatening presence not approaching, chains flowing in the currents of the water.
The Nihilego twisted about in response to her presence, ready to go onto the offensive again at the intruder, before she herself pulled out a similar glowing pearl. The bright lights shimmmered in the depth, the twin eyes peering out from the darkness of the ocean depths, and freezing the Nihilego in place. As if torn between both, and yet pacified all the same.
"I think, we should have just gone with your strategy from the beginning." Laguna would whisper softly over towards Celeste, grinning as she grabbed her Pokeball off her hip, and watched the other woman do the same as they both casually lob their Pokeballs at the same time. "Fantastic work, thank you. Hopefully, they're curious enough to stay with me. Are you okay? They didn't hurt you at all while I was gone?"

Celeste was expecting a fight to break out again when they returned so shortly, but instead they retrieved a remarkably similar pearl, almost as if-Nay, they weren't there at the Abandoned Village that night. She would have remembered a woman like that. They must have had some encounter, however, right? Or did She simply hand these out, when she felt like it? This woman, Laguna, just seemed to be more and more of a mystery.
Seeing the other woman pull out her Pokeball, Celeste debated for a few moments, looking at the Nihilego. If they showed an appreciation for Her Light, then she supposed there was only more mysteries to be solved. She just quietly nodded her head, moving to catch the Pokemon as well, before finally turning towards Laguna.
She was visibly calm, even though her voice betrayed her curiosity. "Not injured, thankfully. It seems Her Eye comes in handy in more ways than one. But, now I have some questions for you. What was that about Plasm-" A small little ding sound ringed from her own UI, catching her off guard. She blinked, glancing at the small clock on her UI, and then immediately letting out a long sigh. "Excuse me, I have to head to my physical therapy now, or I'll be late. But I'll be sending you a friend request. It was nice meeting you, we shall talk soon."
