[ti]open[/ti]To Stake a Claim

It was like someone cut out a slice of a densely populated megapolis and shipped it to UNOVR, complete with citizens, buildings, and all of its yum and yuck. Completely different from anything that Arthur had seen so far, he had, for a moment, thought that he entered a completely different game. What grounded him was that he still had Zoro (the Zorua) with him, wisping in and out of his shoulder as he struggled to blend in with all of the lights that came from various screens and bulbs.

The streets were packed with aliens that were more or less humanoid, but they varied largely in their clothing as well as how modified their bodies were. Many of them were clearly cybernetic in nature, sometimes taking half the face, others (if he looked closely) had metal limbs or things jutting out of long sleeves. Really, it made his own misty hand not look out of place.

Was this place home?

No, he didn't like the sleazy look of it. Really, he would've preferred something with more nature and less people, but still with the essentials. The necessities (he was basically referring to something like glamping).

But! He was a child of the city, and even if he was mostly confined to the more glamorous parts of it, well, it was like another side of what could be home.

Also, the game did tell him that he could try to stake a claim on something here if he was successful.

Now the question was, how was he going to go about it: to be a capitalist, or to do finder's keepers?

He also wondered if he could manage to spot anyone familiar in the crowd, or at least another player. The username should give them away amidst the sea of aliens, but if he was going to explore the seedier areas, those chances might get lower...
