Verai returned to Precipice. He let himself sit in the dark silence, the world stretching out endlessly, and reducing to the edges of his body. He felt Ya'ath behind him, but did not address the sword. There was too much to consider- Chaos brewed, just beyond Mistra's gate, and it made him nervous- a tense, eager expectancy in his chest. It felt a turning point, a spot of potential and danger. "We need to do all we can."
As always, the sword was silent.

By now, Fairytale has heard a shrine is apparently gone, though they knew not which one. They had uncaringly passed by the Noonlight Shrine, not even bothering to show interest in the familiar Moltres. It was unlikely to be that shrine anyhow, with an event having already occurred there. And, it was not the shrine that Fairytale had gained a preference for the last times they had been able to play.
No, that title went to the Precipice Shrine. It felt stabilizing, to be on the edge of the pit, gazing past the mist into the endless darkness. Oddly enough, miniscule as this shrine has made them feel always, they feel as if they have been noticed by whatever lurks the more that they stare into the void. Should they not be beneath this being's notice? Perhaps they are, and it is only the passing glance of one noticing an insect creeping by.
Suddenly, a shimmer catches their eye. They are annoyed at first by the appearance of a prompt, until they read said prompt. The Dream World... That is worth their momentary irritation being brushed aside. They wonder what it is like.
Perhaps they will go.
But for now, they wish to stare into the abyss for a bit longer, and embrace the eerie welcome of familiar insignificance.

"Beautiful, isn't it, Abby?" Tuesday whispers to the ice cold egg on her lap, kneeling by the chasm's edge while her golden gaze watches the swirl of psychic energy that marks the entrance to the dream kingdom. "Don't be fooled, it's dangerous too. Even if most people would disagree."
There is a certain coldness with which those words are spoken; as gelid as the shell of this egg. And yet, despite the deep resentment she holds towards those energies and their once creator, it's with undeniable care that Tuesday plucks the weeds that grow amongst the shrine's pink flowers. One by one, weeds are removed, ensuring that the flowers thrive with nothing to stop them from growing.
After a moment, she pauses, looking into the abyss.
"They say she's dead, Abaddon, but I think she may rise again one day. She still exists in there, after all... In that Dream Kingdom that's a bridge to the realities where everything went so very differently from ours." She had read about what happened in the other servers during the Precipice Crown World Event, and after realizing what the Dream Kingdom is, its potential is clear to Tuesday. She's resolute, unshakable in her convictions.
"If that day ever comes... we need to be ready. I'm never letting her take control again."
Even now, even when it's no longer atop of her head, that circlet that Tuesday had once stolen from the princess feels as if it were radiating frost, now as the hilt of the dagger at her belt. Even as a FREEZER, Tuesday is certain she can feel its overwhelming cold.

Though the gate to the Dream Kingdom, she she returns, the pointed steel sabatons of an armour stepping upon the edge of the abyss. She had been clad in shadow a moment ago, but here and now, she's once again the radiant knight. An adorned steel armour, a billowing cloak of pearlescent white feathers, a head of luscious golden hair that is crowned only by soft cat ears, and, in her arms, a newly born Articuno of feathers the colour of glaciers. "Do you feel it, Abaddon?""Hm. One finds this world to be full of deceit." The volleyball-sized Articuno passes judgement harshly, even though only a few moments have passed since she hatched and arrived upon the Misty Timberland. Still, it doesn't surprise the Alchemist. "Perceptive." She smirks, allowing the Articuno to perch herself on her left forearm then, sharp talons upon adorned vambrace. Golden eyes meet those cold as ice. "Listen carefully... You're right, this world is full of deceit. All words are. Appearances are nothing but a way to trick others and one of the greatest weapons one can wield. But, there's also power in showing the world exactly who you are, and you, my abyss... I want you to be exactly who you're meant to be."They stare at each other for a moment, and it's then that the small Articuno bows her head, eyes closing. "One understands."Tuesday simply nods in return, and with a gesture of her right hand, she inputs a command, causing the Articuno to change thanks to the power of the shrine. Those psychic energies that belong to the gate to the Dream Kingdom swirl around them, causing once glacier blue feathers to become the colour of lavenders. Shades obscure the Articuno's vision, masking her. She becomes the Pokémon that is known as Cruel, and Tuesday wouldn't have it any other way. "Many thanks, master.""Of course, Abby. Come on, let's get out of here."BABY ARTICUNO form changes to GALARIAN FORM

M'Foxy looked down into the abyss, and not a single eye opened to look back at her. There was only the typical shrine stuff. "Huh. Guess you don't have answers, either." She said, straightening and dusting of her hands. "Well... that's a lot to ask from a mysterious hole-portal. Don't worry."

After a brief moment of nausea from spawning in, H0LYN3V1L took a look at his surroundings. It had been so long since he was online he couldn’t totally remember where he logged off at. Going by the giant hole in front of him though, he was at that healing place he couldn’t totally remember the name of. Ugh, it was going to take so much work to remember the controls. He considered just starting over, but the new player name he wanted was already taken, so it looked like he was either stuck with H0LYN3V1L or had to make something with, like, dumb numbers at the end of it. Which was way lamer than using numbers instead of letters. That was cool.
H0LYN3V1L let out a huff and pulled up his stats. What. Wait. Snivy was knocked out? How did that even happen? Oh. That’s right. That dumb fight with a Sneasel. Ugh why did he have to log out and not finish dealing with that? Or better yet, why didn’t everything fix itself while he was gone?
H0LYN3V1L let out a very put upon huff and called out Snivy from his pokeball. Snivy’s knocked out form appeared as a lump at the edge of the pit and H0LYN3V1L grimaced. “Ew you look like a corpse.” He walked closer to the pit and gave a gentle kick to Snivy’s body. “Come onnnn. Get up. We gotta figure out what’s going on in the world right now. I’m sure there’s some sorta hero’s quest or, like, a really hot but ultimately vapid girl that I am too good for around somewhere that we gotta save.”
And maybe he would take the time to set up a refresh thing that he never got around to before his unwanted absence. That could at least give him a moment to catch up on all the latest Reddit threads about what was going on. “Hey big hole, come on, do the thing. I got hero shit to do before my mom gets home and finds out I’m playing.”

#s://i~imgur~com/AbRcDrE~jpg BACK IN APRIL...Mistra spits her out with disdain, and of all places, she's brought to the Precipice. Of course she is. Why would she be taken anywhere else? Tuesday has been as if bound to this place from the very beginning, even when she tried to leave it behind... She lies down on the ground right by the chasm, a hand hanging off the edge, and Ancile is not with her. Ancile is gone. Ancile had been taken by the Corruption Zone. Ancile had been sent to the Everworld. "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!" She screams, angered and not caring for who may listen. It doesn't matter. No one here matters. All that matters is that she had lost Ancile because of that place. What is Tuesday without her loyal shield? Without the Pokémon that had accompanied her from the very beginning? The one that had served her without question and always looked out for her? She'll get him back. She has to get him back. She takes a deep breath, and slowly, she sits up, looking into the abyss. She had sacrificed so many Pokémon that she had lost count, she had even sent the starter Professor Ash had given her to the Everworld to see what its like, but never had a Pokémon been forcefully taken from her before. Never had it been a Pokémon she hadn't wish to send to that place. Never had it been Ancile. Some would call it the result of her own arrogance and endless hubris. She had known the dangers when stepping into Mistra, no? She had been fucking warned. "Fuck that place." Why would Tuesday ever take the blame? It had been that fucked up place. It had been the corruption's doing. "Fuck them all!"Even now, even after the gate to the Dream Kingdom had opened, people appear to be fond of throwing their trash into the shrine's chasm. They even lazily leave them by the edge as if expecting someone else to do the work for them, and today, when Tuesday stands, she's the one kicking the nearby crates in, not giving a fuck for what their content might be. She respects this place, she even puts effort into keeping it clean, but today... Today all that's in her mind is Ancile.

M'Foxy stared pointedly at the abyss this time. She clenched and unclenched her shoulders, then arms, then fists. Clench everything and then unclench. Turn slow tigers into fast tigers with one fucked up trick.
The corruption just stood there, watching her. "Maybe don't try kicking it this time?" He asked, amused.
She continued staring, pointedly, into the abyss.

M'Foxy was used to being followed. It happened all the time, in real life. By spouses, by kids, by shadowy organizations. She wasn't used to it in game, yet, though, and usually the people harassing her didn't wear her face, name, and voice.
Ahi kind of looked like him, but not that much.
"Don't you have something to do?" She huffed, picking at the wildflowers.
"Nope." Theron said, blasé. A little rude.

Death. Rebirth. Death again.
That was the way of life, wasn't it? Extant life only because of the contributions of death. Things could only die because they were once alive. Such was the nature of it.
M'Foxy stood at the edge of the shrine, and offered thanks before she turned away.

It was striking true, but so was she. "You've nearly got it." Theron said, nodding a bit towards the void of the shrine. M'Foxy sat, legs dangling into the abyss.
"Is that really true?" Theron glanced over, looking down at her. "Is it an 'I've got it' situation? Or..." She looked up at him, thoughtful. "Is it more... We've got it?"
"I can't answer that."

The thing was, M'Foxy didn't have to think about things. It was a simple enough conversation- her thinking, "hey, maybe a quote from a video game is a bad catchphrase." And then Theron replies with "no, if it helps you- in any capacity- that makes it a good catchphrase, regardless of what others say." And then she naturally replies with "You're absolutely right, cringe culture is something that needs to be abolished, along with a great many other things."
But she didn't even have the first thought, of shame. It never occurred because the reply thought, the encouragement, was already there, nestled deep. Was it foolproof? No, she wasn't complacent enough to think this was a guaranteed solution. But...
It was a start, maybe.
"C'mon." She said, nodding. "Let's go finish off that duraludon."

"Sooooo."
"Oh, shut it." M'Foxy was laying in the grass, looking up at the sky. Things were peaceful, all things considered. Trainers were scampering over to do things, or away to do other things. Pokemon were chattering. Lovers were arguing. Life goes on.
She sat up, flowers decorating her hair, stretching as she got to her feet. This time, she'd get it. Or not.
In truth, it didn't really matter.

"What'd you think'd happen if I jumped in?"
Theron leaned forward to peer down into the abyss. "I.. think you'd die."
M'Foxy kicked her legs, idly. "You can't die here."
"Maybe you'd be the first."
She snorted a laugh. "Would it just spit me back out here? Some Portal nonsense?"
"You could try it."
"Could." M'Foxy said, carefully getting to her feet. "Maybe next time."

This was it.
Statistically, she was there.
Realistically, the dice were terrible little monsters, and there was no way of knowing anything. But M'Foxy bounced on her feet anyway, like she was playing invisible jump rope.
Theron watched- and smiled. "You've got this."
