He wasn't sure what was going on in this event any longer. But he also wasn't really going to stop now either. He would need to work hard if he wanted to keep going after all. To get the rewards available. So there he went to the next area, that bedrock shrine place or whatever it was. He was going to be able to finish this event off right if he wanted to get through it... There were lots of different popups as they landed in the hot area and he saw people placing their Pokemon down on the shrine. Something he couldn't really afford to do if he wanted to keep a full team of them... But of course that wasn't the only option there was.
Pray
That was the only option that got him out of this situation with all of his Pokemon intact. As much as Jiaozi annoyed him he'd already sacrificed her once to some raging infernapes. He wasn't going to be able to do it again. And Bao was too valuable of a healer in order to get rid of her. Same with Mo for tanking. Having three Pokemon only made this difficult but... He had made his choice.

The chase was fucking on. One of those fucking Codies was on the run, scampering down a hole Orion had kicked it down. It took a moment for him to find a path to pursue, but once he figured out how to squeeze down there, it was on like fucking Donkey Kong. Achilles and Hades were tailing behind him, both quite shocked to see how intensely Orion could continue chasing those things given the sheer amount of whoopass he had just been dispensing. All three were surprised to find that the tunnel was growing, rather than shrinking. What was once a tight fit was now wide enough to drive a semi through, and what once was glitched textures and chunks of code was now starting to look more and more like...cut content? He glanced down to the message that had pulled him to the Caldera in the same place and hit a quick reply.
Some spooky fucking shrine loomed before him in the center of a massive cavern that was most definitely planned content that he was almost certainly NOT supposed to be seeing right now. Something was very wrong, and this program which was supposed to be a nice friendly kid safe VR kiddie pool suddenly felt like he'd dived into the Deep end. The hair on the back of his neck stood on end and goosebumps ran down his arms. Most people had nice little safety sensors in their store-bought rigs that kept em from getting like...actual pain feedbacks, but Orion and his custom rig were rawdogging the fuck out of this experience, he could feel everything, and that fucking altar felt ELECTRIC. It took a moment to realize he'd stopped moving, stopped entirely in awe of this thing as his eyes stood affixed to it.
"Boss?" "MR?"
The words of his pokemon jarred him from his stupor, and Orion turned back to his companions who were standing at his feet.
"Oh, yeah wassup guys?"
"I think we're in over our heads." Achilles mewled nervously. "I think we should leave..." Hades whimpered. "We're definitely punching up, that's for sure..." Orion shook his head and sighed. "But we gotta do what we gotta do...ya know? We can't protect your home unless we finish the fight, eh Hades?" He took one step forward and a prompt popped up. Pray, or Sacrifice. He didn't even hesitate as he hit the pray button, clasping his hands together tightly.
Dear god, I know it's just pixels n shit and you're probably disgusted with the idea of VR and us playing with your tools, buuuuut this feels really real and I need a push to protect those in need. Gimme some strength that I can mollywhop this piece of shit porygon.
He wasn't sure if god could hear him, but he certainly needed everything he could get.

Furrlicity is heartbroken that the Mini C0D13 he had pack bonded with had perished.
That just means he would need to capture a new one to force to be his friend.
A new area beckons. Furrlicity moves forward as his messages ping. He frowns and rolls his eyes before replying.
Furrlicity slams that send button back to the [DELETED USER] before he realizes the splendor of the new area. A proper response would be to be shaken, but Furrlicity is more worried about his forced Mini C0D13 friend and dealing with Luke in his physical body.
Glancing around, he saw a few other players already here. Finnegan Fjord, manish, inari, some person he didn't know (orioncayge). He walked over and tried to slap Finnegan Fjord right on the ass before examining his choices.
"Oh, this is an easy choice." Furrlicity leaned over and snatched up his Sobble, who screamed in fury as he dropped her on top of it. "Bye, bitch!" He said cheerfully as he clicked the SACRIFICE button.
He'd probably be able to get her back.
Maybe.

Well that happened. Buddy contributed very little in the grand scheme of this bizarre battle, but he still puffed out his chest as if he single handedly took on the hoard. He polished his nails on his chest, chuckling haughtily as he declared for all to hear: "Such threats are a trifle to the likes of Buddy BamBam! Oh and Poppy I guess." Poppy seemed quite joyful, though he was programed to be a happy little shit so Buddy mostly flaunted himself.
Yet the battle did not end here, it would seem further assistance was required at the crater. Buddy did not plan to partake in any further defense, but then again it could lead to very lucrative opportunities in the future. Fuck it, his night was open. Buddy made his way to the crater, wandering aimlessly until he found the Bedrock Alter along with the other nerds. Not soon after he approached this peculiar location did a prompt appear before him.
Hmmm, strange. Buddy scratched his head, he was at an impasse. If he sacrificed Poppy, he would be out of usable pokemon and very likely would white out. But then again he would be Damned before he prayed to a cluster of ones and zeros. Buddy didn't want RELIGION in his GAMING EXPERIENCE. Buddy slapped his knee and turned to Poppy, "Hey Poppy do you wanna take a trip!?"
Poppy beamed with excitement, and Buddy responded by picking him up and chucking him at the alter. Buddy folded his arms and chuckled, "Worth it."

For a brief moment, there was quiet and peace. It was almost unsettling, seeing how dead and quiet the world was now. Parts of it seemed alive and full of life, the Crater seemed to be buzzing around like usual, but her lovely Coastline was in tatters. The digital remains of the miniature COD13's were scattered across the world, and she finally took a moment to pause and breathe.
And then she noticed the messages.
Players were deleted, and they needed help. What even did that mean? They weren't actually here, right? Was it some major buggy nightmare-scape their consciousnesses were subjected to? How could Hydance even let this happen? Even for a Beta, this was legitimately a traumatizing experience, and way too meta to seem planned.
She was quick to attempt to reply, hoping that by some glitch in the code that it would get through to them.
"trying my best. be safe. unplug if you can if it gets bad. just be safe. - L"
And so she did the only thing she could. She went back to the Crater just like the messages said. A new opening had been made in the attack, a secret cave. It would have been intriguing, it would have been cool, and exciting if the circumstances of her arrival didn't foretell even more danger ahead.
The Bedrock Shrine stood intimidating before her, the sheer pressure of the situation almost overpowering. Other players were already here as if they had realized the choice that suddenly came up on the tooltip.
Pray or Sacrifice.
Laguna had no doubt that this was a shrine to Groudon, to equal the power of Kyogre. Perhaps someone, or perhaps something, could counter-act the primal-infused COD13. After all, it had Kyogre's strength, and if there was anything that could defeat Kyogre...
Her Pokemon seemed unaware of the difficult choice ahead of her, their own excitement and eagerness to explore overriding their fear. All except one.
Glacia stared at the shrine, the Bergmite smarter than it looked. It was born at the High Tide Shrine, it understood the over-powering presence of the shrines. But perhaps more importantly, their kind soul only needed to look at the other trainers to know what was going on.
"Glacia..." Laguna spoke, kneeling down to hug her Bergmite gently in her arms after she quickly recalled the others. "I know what it suggested, and I know what others have probably done, but-"
The Bergmite said nothing, only closing its eyes as it enjoyed the warm hug for all it was before it just nodded. Or perhaps more accurately, shook its whole body in a nod.
Laguna fought back a few tears, nodding her head back as she approached the shrine, ice-pokemon held ever so reverently in her arms. She spoke, praying even as she made up the mind to sacrifice. "Groudon... A pretender has claimed your rival's eternal power. A pretender claims to dictate what is right, and wrong, what deserves to exist or not. This island, is yours, is it not? The land and all that walks upon its domain owe its very life to you. And so," She holds up Bergmite over her head, the small, physically weak pokemon standing as proudly as it physically could. The fight before had not been kind to its health.
"We beseech thee, to right these wrongs. To show that the island is yours to rule! Please, take this Pokemon, her valiant spirit, her passion, and her sweet soul. Let Glacia be a part of you!" She knew it was a video game, that everything was coded, but to her pokemon? The NPCs? It was too real to not be passionate about wanting to protect it.
And with that, the Bergmite closed her eyes, comfortable and accepting with her place. She hadn't lived long, but to her, this world was the only one she knew. Such a heroic soul could not accept any other option than self-sacrifice. Active: Bergmite (93/350) Sacrificed
Standby: Squirtle (300/350) Froakie (50/150) Popplio (150/150) Litten (100/100)

With the threat taken care of, for now, Xavier was quick to turn their attention towards the two messages they had gotten from deleted users. Would trying to send a message even work at this point? It's worth a try, if nothing else, and they're quick to send a message in return to one of the users- even if they doubt it'll be seen anymore.
As they send it, they see something blipping on the minimap. Five remaining mini C0D13, seemingly heading down, into the land. Recalling Lysander, they follow along the best they can, towards the new area. It's a shrine, although the pressure in the air makes them tempted to just turn around and leave. Even more so when they get the prompt to pray to it or to sacrifice a Pokemon. They only have Lysander, their Charmander, so the choice is clear.
And apparently it's clear for other people, too, from the way someone's poor, rage-filled Sobble is abandoned just as quickly (seriously, Furrlicity Purrfection, what the fuck)? With maybe a little guilt for these poor Pokemon, Xavier chooses Pray.

HIGH TIDE RAID: ROUND 5Since then, at an uncertain hour, That agony returns And till my ghastly tale is told, this heart within me burnsFinnegan Fjord makes the first move. His fainted Meowth sinks into the stone, limp body growing transparent before vanishing completely.
Around him, the crystals shine renewed with rum-red light.
manish moves next. Caught up in concern for his Pokemon, he places his Dustox at the mouth of the shrine. But his moth does not recover. Instead, she sinks into the stone, her body like mist as she disappears.
orioncayge prays before the black stalactite, calling for a real-world God to aid him in his virtual plight. The veins in the walls run dark with building power, the pressure in the air magnifying, multiplying. The surface of the water shivers, as if caught in a high wind. Just a little more, it seems to whisper.
Then comes Furrlicity Purrfection.
Sobble's sacrifice is met with screams of fury as his starter Pokemon fights back against her fate. But the choice has been made: she is swallowed whole by the Bedrock Shrine, and the cat-man hears a voice that thrums through his skull like an aftershock.
I am listening. At the altar, two more players pledge their Pokemon to the inverted shrine. Buddy BamBam's model flashes warningly and he sees the words you have whited out! as he sends his one and only Popplio on a one-way ride to eeby deeby. To all eyes, the clown suddenly disappears, a white band passing across his body as he is temporarily de-spawned.
Buddy reappears at the High Tide Shrine, encountering an immediate error message. you are out of usable pokemon, it says, then unexpectedly: enter the everworld?
Back at the Bedrock Shrine, Laguna is last to act. She beseeches a legend, begging it to reclaim the land that rightfully belongs to it. She commits Bergmite to its name, and the thirsty altar accepts without question. It is no proof of a bargain. It is merely food for thought.
Audible to all, the voice answers, slow and low as tectonic plates.
This island is not mine. A roar hums through the belly of the earth. Volcanic steam rolls in clouds from the spring, obscuring the walls, the stone, the shrine. You can hardly see your hand in front of your face as it coils around you. Obstructing. Concealing.
It is yours. Something round glows in the cloud like a distant sun, round and bright and red as fresh-forged steel. THE RED ORB is revealed as chips of black stone flake away from the altar, framing the ruby at its heart.
The orb pulses.
A ripple of primal energy blasts through the cavern, scything through the fog. Light like molten rivers sinks into your Pokemon, running in rivulets down their bodies. Glowing eyes snap open, blazing with power. Each player's Pokemon has been transformed, illuminated, infused with geothermal life-lines.
And they are powerful.
You must go now. I will open the way.
{THEME OF THE BETA TESTERS} The jaws of the altar gape, and the ceiling splits as a massive fissure rocks the Bedrock Shrine. Light pours down from the high tide shrine above as the hot spring pressure beneath you builds, exploding into a massive geyser blasting you back towards the world above.
C0D13 spins, letting out a startled buzz as seven superheated trainers rocket from the core of Beta Island, alive, triumphant, and better than ever.
"UNEXPECTED!! BZZZT!"
Pages of dismissed Bug Reports go straight into the Spam folder as the Primal AI spins and readies himself for battle, struggling to re-form the ZONES before his enemies regroup. The process is slow-going: it seems a background process is taking up an unusual amount of memory, and the game struggles to load the archived battlemap.

As Poppy disappeared into the void, Buddy clapped at the resulting lightshow. "Poppy popped rather wonderfully!" He exclaimed, fixing his hands onto his hips as he waited for--whatever came next. Naturally since he was out of pokemon, it was time to Whiteout. Buddy's vision turned blank, and he would groan as he felt his body disappear.
"Aw, I thought the game would let me see what happened! Oh well, it was a fun little misadventure."
Buddy reappeared at the shrine, and out of curiosity he would try to peek into his inventory. To his surprise, an error message would appear informing him that he was out of usable pokemon. That was strange, he had no pokemon whatsoever? Was this allowed? Did Buddy just break the game?
Peter was pulled out of character, pondering at what exactly he had just accomplished. Because of this sacrifice mechanic, he was probably the first trainer to ever run out of pokemon. He would probably have an error log named after him or something. 'The BamBam Paradox', heh what a wacky thought. Peter snickered and prepared to hard reset his vr set so he could leave the game.
It was at this moment that he saw the new prompt.
There was not an option to actually accept this inquiry, but as er--Buddy stared into it he would softly giggle. "The Underworld eh? So they had a plan for this after all." Would this kill him? Would he be the very first trainer to actually die in the game? Or perhaps it would bring him to a hidden realm, where a great secret awaited him. Regardless of the result, he would have to be a fool not to try.
"It shall be a grand adventure! Let us proceed!"
He clicked the Underworld prompt, accepting its invitation.

Red light erupts like lava from Furrlicty's pokeballs; all of his had been returned until he threw Tiramisu Ice Cream Cake Milk right into the trash pile with the other sacrificed pokemon. He makes a face as energy fills him. It's a strange feeling. Furrlicity used this game as a means to escape the terrible pain he was always in and for a chance to walk without having to stop for frequent breaks. he's not felt this good since he was a teenager, rough housing with his friends in the Tennessee summer heat after sneaking out to the lake. The time before the effects of his illness really set in and he was properly diagnosed.
He felt powerful.
It was bittersweet. Furrlicity knew that when he took the headset off later he would just be tired again. Chu-e couldn't carry this burst of energy into his real life as much as he wanted to do so. He wondered if this was why people played games so much; so they could feel this kind of power. To be the hero and feel like it.
Furrlicity's tail swarped back and forth in annoyance, his ears laying back on his head.
No sense in wasting this feeling while he had it.
The shrine split and pressure builds. Furrlicity is washed away with all the others. Something like a determination is in him now- or maybe he's just looking for something to take out all these new, complicated feelings on. C0D13 would pay.
Furrlicity opens his menu. Finds that two of his remaining's pokemon's slots are blocked out, unable to be selected. He snarls out a curse but slams his fingers on the spots anyway.
"Come out!" Is barked out, his last three pokeballs releasing what they held. Solrock, Shinx, and Espurr. They glowed with a new found power, red likes ripping up their bodies in geometric shapes. They glitched, too. When Shinx hit the ground, her model twitched oddly, the mesh seeming to flinch off the skeleton to warp the electric lion's form. All of Furrlicity's pokemon vibrated and twitched oddly like this- until they moved.
Solrock shot forward like a rocket, it's mesh seeming to trail behind behind catching up. It's body span as a powerful surge of fire erupted off itself; the speed that it was going, the Solrock stuck into C0D13's side like a flaming hot ninja star.
Espurr has much the same effect. His model glitched from the high speed, unable to process fast enough to keep up, as the pokemon floated upwards. He cried out as he tried to control himself, circling C0D13 like a leaf in the wind, unable to control himself. The shockwaves of the screaming rippled through the air and caused raw code to vibrate.
Shinx had the most trouble.
When she had landed in the sand, her model had half sunk inside it. It was like her already glitched out body was clipping through the sand oddly, the collision off. She still tried to charge forward, small feet picking up inedible speeds, but she was locked in place by the sand. Sparks shot off of her body as she charged up, a ferocious snarl leaving her.
Then the anti-collision detection finally popped her out of her sand prison.
She kept all her momentum, launching at C0D13 with all the build up speed on top of her glitched speed. She's a bullet being shot, launching into the Raid Boss with the added power of her built up speed. Her model ends up half fused with C0D13's, her back legs wiggling in his side as she tries to get free. Errant sparks still come off of her.
Nothing happens.
There is no change of HP. It's enough to make Furrlicity frown, wonder if his glitched out pokemon even mattered. If whatever the hell happened in the secret shrine even mattered.
Then there is the sound of multiple collision box strikes at once, followed by @codei's hp flickering before dropping.

“Dwayne? Are you uh, are you going to give Dwayne back?” Manish looked at the Shrine, a sense of dread starting to take over. The prompt was to revive pokemon, right? He really started to feel like maybe he messed up when the Shrine spoke. “This island is not mine” Manish groaned and pressed his hands to his eyes to hold in the tears. Not again. He really really didn’t want another mystical shrine talking to him. The last time it happened he kind of broke the world. Judging by the steam that was now enveloping him, it was probably going to happen again. But it wasn’t done. “It is yours.” “Huh?” Manish muttered. The Shrine wasn’t going to take advantage of their weakened state and finish what C0D13 started and delete the world? The light of the red orb washed over Manish and he could feel his pokeballs heat up in his pocket. He reached into his pocket to grab them when he realized that he was being shot out of the ground by a geyser. He let out what was definitely a very manly scream. Manish fumbled with his pockets and pulled out Ryan’s pokeball. With a flash, the Gigantamaxed pokemon was released. In all his thicc toad glory, Ryan appeared, eyes glowing, thermal energy flowing through him. Manish tried to land on him. However, he couldn’t exactly propel himself forward while flying through the air and plummeted back towards the ground. Manish was expecting a very unfortunate splat, however there was no splat. He peeked open his eyes to see a familiar site. Once again he was clipping through the ground and headed back towards the Shrine, only this time inside the walls. “Aw man. Not again” he moaned. Last time this happened he and Yggy had to write a bug report. C0D13 was probably a little busy what with all the trying to murder everything, but still Manish thought the responsible thing to do would be to write the report. While still falling through the world he wrote up the report, making sure that he paused long enough to wave at the Bedrock Shrine as he fell passed. Report finished, he hit send and waited, hoping that things would go like last time and he would appear at the top of the world. After a few more moments of falling, Manish’s prediction came true. He felt a jolt on his body and found himself back up in the sky. Now that he had more time Manish positioned himself to actually land on Ryan. Just in case, though, he pulled out two pokeballs and threw them down at Ryan. Lucy and Narrator both appeared and as he fell towards them, Lucy snagged his jacket. “Thanks,” he said with a smile and looked at the two pokemon. They were also glowing with the power bestowed on them from the Shrine. “Okay gang. This uh, this is it.” He turned to face C0D13. <It is time. The chosen one has risen up to face the great foe and save us all!> Narrator jumped around in joy before stopping in front of Manish and staring up at him expectantly. Manish smiled, “He’s been a real jerk and it’s about time we told him that the spooky um, rock? Yeah, that it’s right. He can’t do this. I think, I think Narrator is right."<Guys?> Ryan rumbled from below them. <I am ? I mean, yes, of course I am! I am Manish’s righteous fury!> “I might not be a chosen one or, or, you know, like, really great at this stuff, but together we can do this!” <Manish…> Ryan said again a little louder. <Hell yeah, bossman! I wanna rip that dumb thing to pieces!> Lucy joined in. <The chosen one has accepted his destiny! Soon he will lead the liberation and we will achieve our divined freedom, cast off the shackles of a cruel world, ready to embark on a journey anew!> Manish stopped and frowned at Narrator, “Okay, well I don’t uh, I don’t know about all that? I mean, look, it’s uh, fighting C0D13 is already, uh, you know? A liberation? I just don’t…”<Guys!> Ryan boomed, <we got bogeys coming in!> Finally he yelled and got the attention of the three standing on his head. “Huh? What?” Manish said, but very quickly realized what. The few pokemon that were not deleted were running at him. “Uh, wow, okay um, look, please don’t uh, guys? We helped you? Stop?” but the pokemon weren’t stopping. They looked wild, glitching back and forth and clearly on a path to take out Manish. “Oh geeze!” he yelled and started to run up Ryan’s back. He scampered up Ryan’s flower and started to type another report while running away. Thankfully Ryan’s flower was large enough that he was able to lead them in circles on it. Report sent, Manish ran close enough to his pokemon to give them directions again. He let out a pained wheezed and checked over his shoulder that the glitched pokemon were far enough away that he could take a moment. “Okay guys…oh geeze that was a lot. Okay, let’s do this!” His three pokemon gave another cheer. “Ryan, you’re gonna use Vine Lash, Narrator, see if you can distract C0D13 from the attack, and Lucy? Use Detect to find the best places to…oh not again.” Manish had to take a moment from the attack plan to once again lead the attacking pokemon off. Wheezing even harder, Manish made it back to his pokemon. “Okay, oh man. Okay, Lucy, find the best places to hit. Ready?” <We were born ready> Ryan boomed from below. Narrator took off and stood right at the tip of Ryan’s head. <Hey, C0D13! How does it feel knowing that you are not special? You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You're the same decaying digital matter as everything else!> Narrator bounced around, <You dared take on the chosen one and now you will pay the ultimate price! This is your life and it's ending one moment at a time!>NARRATOR used TAUNT (FAST ATTACK x3 on C0D13) While Narrator yelled, Ryan started to unfurl his vines and Lucy saw that as her chance. She jumped over Manish and a trail of little pokemon running after him and darted down Ryan’s vines. <You are such a jerk. You destroyed my home…> the red lines of energy coursing through Lucy shone brighter <...you deleted my old friends…> she started to flash, body changing, evolving <...and I wanna watch you bleed!> Lucy’s new body settled, now a fully evolved Sceptile. On the tip of Ryan’s vine, guiding it towards C0D13’s body, and laughing maniacally. <Welcome to the jungle, bitch!> LUCY used DETECT (FAST ATTACK x3 on C0D13) With Narrator and Lucy’s help, Ryan’s vines struck true. The three pokemon came together to help Ryan just slap C0D13 over and over again. RYAN used VINE LASH (CHARGE ATTACK on C0D13) Manish, for his part, cheered his pokemon along all the while running from the still glitching pokemon. All of them would have to do whatever they could in order to make sure this would work. Of course that meant he would have to step up his own game. It was their turn to be a hero after all. And stop this giant Cod13 from doing whatever it was he wanted. It was rude to misbehave like this. And he wasn't about to just let it go when it meant he was in the way of the raid rewards. Nothing was going to stand in the way of him getting raid rewards. Except... Maybe the fact that he felt himself clip through the ground a bit, slipping underneath the pixels and ending up in a dark void. Fuck fuck fuck. Still, he could work with this. All he had to do was find his way up.
Seeing a bit of light and hearing a bit of noise he 'swam' upwards in the void and grabbed on through the ground to the first thing he could grab. That unfortunately was Furrlicity Purrfection 's ankle. But using that he pulled himself back up out of the ground void and into the battle field. The sand began to glitch around him as he rose up, clipping through the air in chunks as it tried to figure out what was going on. This was annoying. But he would be able to work with it for now. Brushing aside some of the sand in the air he regained what composure he could.
"Let's give it everything we have!"
Attacking was all they could do. There was no more time for blocking or healing. That would all have to wait until later on when they were finished with this. At least the healing part. Attacks cut through the sand hard as they swirled together. After all they would just have to live with whatever they could do here. Regardless of how cool the leaves and fire looked together he couldn't help but feel nervous. Especially since he wasn't sure where the rest of the damage was going to come from.

Natsuki knew that this battle was coming to an end as she gazed around the odd landscape-- multiple biomes clipping together as she couldn't even tell where exactly she was. She wasn't going to let this deter her though as it definitely wasn't the weirdest thing she's seen since coming here. Struggling to keep her incredibly hyper Pokemon at her side after the short rest. She had chosen to stay up and not go down into the Shrine since she had just recently arrived and didn't want to get herself into anything that she wasn't fully prepared for."So it looks like things are happening again... Someone needs to step up and be a hero here-- and I'm going to try my damn best to blow up that block of code floaty-- thing..." Sending her Pokemon out to attack with little hesitation, Natsuki sat down on the ground behind the 3 with an excited grin. The shrine itself seems to answer Laguna's praying, accompanied by a roar and steam. Xavier can barely see their hand in front of their face until red light cuts through the cloud- a pulse of primal energy that makes them feel like maybe, this time, they could be the hero. One of them, anyways. From what they can tell, they're not the only one impacted by it; not that they get to really pay attention before the geyser washes them away just like the others, near where C0D13 is trying to...Fuck it, actually, they're not even going to try to pretend to know what C0d13 is doing now.
Bunya speaks up, from...somewhere. Halfway through, her voice audio glitches abruptly, leaving Xavier unable to hear her on one side. And maybe they're not paying as much attention as they should, just because most of their attention was focused on not getting deleted. Fumbling with the Pokeball, they released their Charmander again, blinking as they take in red lights going down Lysander's body and the way their Pokemon's eyes blazed with a new power, not unlike the one they had felt.
"Oh." For a second, they're not sure what else to say, but they're shaking away their shock just as fast (they hope). "Use Dragon Rage..?" Their voice trails off, a bit awkwardly, as the Charmander practically throws himself into battle, as if inspired by his newfound power. Which, honestly, Xavier can't blame him; it doesn't stop them from wincing as Error text pops up right after the Charmander attacks C0d13...and just stays, hovering in the air like it's solid itself. Orion wasn't sure what had dragged him here, why he'd even bothered to get involved, but here he fucking was. Standing face to face with the biggest and baddest of those Porycucks. The game was having a conniption, he could feel the servers plug and chug as the lag made moving somewhat a chore, there was an ever so slight delay between the desire to do something and going it, but that sure as fuck wasn't stopping him. This place was supposed to be his escape, a place he could leave his world of fighting and violence behind, to reclaim a lil bit of that lost childhood innocence he'd lost growing up. He wasn't about to let that be taken from him, not by a bunch of polygons no less.
"ACHILLES, HADES, NOW. GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU GOT AND MORE." Orion howled.
"GOT IT BOSS!" Achilles hissed, leaping forward. "TIME FOR MY NUMBAH ONE SUPREME MOVE. EAT THIS!" The cat would dash forward, only to be blocked by...pokemon? Various starters, such as piplups, tepigs, and turtwigs would pop up out of the ground in quick bursts with weird bursts of static noise and light before vanishing, only to clip out of the ground again. "OUTTA THE WAY YOU CHUCKLEFUCKS!" Achilles mewled, darting between bursts of pokemon, rolling and then leaping into the air to deliver a decisive double kick to Codie.
"I'M ON IT!" Hades squealed as he reared up cutely menacingly on his hind legs. Taking in a deep breath, he let out a shrill "FUCK YOU FOR HURTING MY HOME AND MY FRIENDS CODIE YOU STUPID PIECE OF SHIT!" as he loosed a gout of flames, twirling forward in a circular patterns, perhaps a wheel of some kind? The move struck true and fiercely and it smashed into Codie, an explosion of flames and light.
Orion, not to be outshone, was quickly concocting a plan equal parts stupid and genius. His HUD was up, and he was furiously drafting up two bug reports, one was about the error before his eyes, the other was a weird technical quirk he'd noticed earlier. Once both were typed up, instead of hitting submit, he snatched them from the air, crushing them into his fists as they began to glow with the same energy that had taken over his companions.
With a roar he began charging forward full tilt, his legs pushing him forward with each step as he let out one last shout. "HEY CODIE, I NOTICED A COUPLE BUGS, LEMME DELIVER EM TO YOU BY HAND." He planted his weight onto a foot and sprung into the air, his hair whipping wildly in the wind, held only in place by a really cool bandana. "EAT." One fist planted itself squarely into Codies face "SHIT!" The other connects, and he planted his feet into the Porygons chest to disengage from it, doing one sick backflip as he tumbled to the ground. Now all he could hope for was the rest of his merry band to do their work, for he'd done everything he could. Win or lose, he still considered himself one hell of a hero.

This island is not mine.
A voice echoed in her head, and Laguna is physically shaken. Steam obscured everything, and for what felt like forever, Laguna swore that she had made a mistake. She couldn't see, her pokemon were recalled, there was nothing to protect her from what was coming.
It is yours.
"M-mine?" Before anything can even answer her question, her eyes nearly burn as a bright orb makes itself known. The Red Orb burns with power and heat, primal energy blasting through the entire cavern. She could feel the heat, almost overpowering. All it took was a look around the room to see everyone's pokemon had transformed, blessed with the strength of the earth.
She quickly sent out her pokemon, only see that they had been transformed from within their own Pokeballs. In fact, the balls themselves had glowings lines all across them.
Marina her Popplio, who had been inside her Pokeball the whole time had no idea what was going on, but the power glowed all along her fins, magmatic power fueling her veins.
Such was the same with her other pokemon, her Squirtle's shell lines were glowing with lines of magma, and her Froakie's limbs were imbued with a simular power.
And it was at this moment, where Laguna laughed.
She couldn't hold it in any more, tears spilled down her face even as she laughed. As the ceiling itself splits open and light blesses them with its presence once more, she continues to laugh. It's a joyous, overwhelmed emotion that threatens to overtake her entirely.
Glacia's sacrifice wasn't for nothing, she was here in spirit. Her heroic soul was in all of them, or at least that's what she wanted to think. Even her. She could be a hero to this world, too.
The geyser blasts them all into the surface, and her water pokemon swim through the heated water with glee, spinning all around her as they soared up into the air.
It was easy to forget the island itself was glitching to no tomorrow, with good portions of it previously deleted. With a blink, a good number of trees within eye-sight blinked into a bright buggy texture-less purple. With every blink.
As an artist, this fascinated her, but not enough to distract her from her mission. In fact, it was COD13's audible confusion that brought the biggest smile possible to her face.
"You missed, asshole!" She let out as loud a cry as she could, landing onto the ground above with a thud.
"Now, everyone, let loose everything you got! Overwhelm that buggy p-o-s!" Just as before, her Squirtle and Froakie who had been here from the beginning, blasted their signature moves together. Hoppy standing atop Sheldon's shell, the Squirtle slid down the earth with impressive speed as their Water Pulses combined, blasting into the side of the massive Porygon. Froakie could barely keep itself standing upright by the end, but he was working hard to stand strong. He had to get revenge for his favorite piece of driftwood, after all. He had no idea if it was still there, and that made him furious.
In her hands, Laguna held Marina up high. The seal pokemon was slow on land, so she ran forwards with her as an Icy Wind swept up. The shards of ice forming larger and larger, slamming into COD13 over and over again.
Before she could revel in her and her fellow players eventual victory, another blink was all it took for her to slip into the ground. A misplaced foot, a broken texture, and she suddenly tumbled straight through the ground. "What the-"
She spoke out loud, trying to get her balance and look upwards, but it seemed down below the map was void of physics, and she just kept on tumbling. There was nothing else to do, except perhaps report the bugs in the hope that COD13 would be even more distracted.
Typing while twisting around and around was hell on her stomach, but she had to push through. Her pokemon were counting on her to do something.
