Even in its decaying state, the once thriving city was beautiful. At least, in Wolf’s eyes. There was always something about an abandoned city being taken over by Mother Nature that held a sense of pleasing allure, truly something out of fantasy as nature attempts to reclaim the land over time. And with the land now ‘cleansed ‘so to speak, she wondered what it was like before everything went down.
Speaking of that, the humanoid wolf shifted her weight to better hold the zygrade egg. Honestly, really wishing Unovr’s egg hatching system was better than what it was. Wolf was hoping time would hatch the egg, but it seems that wasn’t the right answer. In fact, time wouldn’t even close to an answer. She understood the whole ‘bond’ with the pokemon thing, but taking it out while exploring seemed rather dangerous. Whatever. She wasn’t a game dev.
“I know you are a baby and all but why do you got to be so heavy,” the player complained, adjusting her bag on her back that was lined with dead tall grass to keep the egg warm and safe, “Like seriously. How am I to move with you on my back or in my hands?” Of course, the egg didn’t respond which was probably a good thing. It might knock her off her balance. Still, the player moved her gaze over the landscape of the forgotten nexus looking for one of those new pokemon the old professor was looking for.
A little still developing bark caught her attention, pulling her away from the scenery around her to look at the creature. The tiniest zacian she had even seen stood stared at her, head tilted slightly to one side in the cutest curious manner she has even seen. Dang those Unovr devs for making the once fearless and formidable sword dag into this adorable little pupper. She fought the urge to smile, kneeling down to it and gingerly patting the top of its head. “We are going to explore the city. Stay close, alright.” The baby zacian’s head titled in the other direction, confusion across its little puppy face. Darn those devs.
The player stood, tapping her thigh in hopes the creature would understand the action over the words. And to her surprise, it did. It’s twig of a tail wagged back and forth, trotting proudly closer to her with its tongue out in a pant. “Good- Boy?- Girl?- Zacian.” She really needed to think of a name for it. With it being genderless creature, it was hard to find a name she liked. But, that would be for a later time. For now, Wolf wanted to explore this new city with her egg and new puppy.

This was Wolf’s first time reviving a fossil in unovr and as far as she could remember, this would be the first time she’s even seen a fossil pokemon in unovr. As such, she assumed fossils were a rare breed here. Which if you really think about it, is how it should be. Yet, there was something strange about bringing a pokemon back to life despite being in a video game that sort of bugged her. It made her think about the Jurassic World Series, and how bringing back ancient dinosaurs was not a smart idea. They spent four movie (and more) showing the world that this was a bad idea. But, this was a video game soooooo…
Pale golden orbs fell upon something seemingly dark, something that looked not of this world. It made her uncomfortable, feeling like this was a trap or something more dangerous than a simple revival. Yet as she watched the scene unfold, mad scientist vibes really took over and soon Dr Bunya turned their attention to her. Should she trust her and this disaster of a contraption she discovered?
“Well… I have this fossil-“ Wolf started, pulling out the OLD AMBER she gotten from the most recent raid, “I- found it while taking care of the hearteater. Do you think you can revive it-? …. Safely- and successfully-?” Both safely and successfully seemed like words that wouldn’t happen, the player half expected some kind of abomination coming from this revival though prayed that it wouldn’t be too bad. Although she wasn’t the biggest fan of fossil pokemon, aerodactyl was on the top three preferred.

Sharp pointed talons flexed, digging into the head of the ultra beast. It screamed, Ziryan leaping off as it began to thrash about in agony. And before they knew it, the clown fell to the sands sending up a cloud of debris. Play golden orbs widened, stunned that her creature was the one who landed the knock out blow.
The sounds of the other player cheering forced her to look away from the unconscious ultra beast in the sand and to Torino, cheeks reddened at the woman’s praise. “Uh- Thanks… but it’s you two who did all the work really. That Dodou is strong.” It really was. Wolf never thought a little dodou could pack a punch like that one has. Then again, it probably thanks to unvors battle system that helps with that.
Her gaze shifted to Ziryan, offering the chimera a nod in praise. She wanted to hug him, or even pet him. However, this type null wasn’t the affectionate type. Although she was sure she could if she wanted too, there was no need. Wolf was proud of him and he knew it, that’s all that matters.
As the other player tossed the sphere, so did Wolf. Luckily, she was able to catch one too. The ball hit right after hers, sucking the creature in locking in place. Hearing the other player, she pulled her gaze off the shaking ball to her. “Oh yeah- sure.” The long wolf tail wagged, though Wolf herself help herself looking placid it was always the ‘wolf’ parts the gave her away. “We can do this again. Might need to heal up but just shoot me a message.”

Luckily for the team, it wasn’t one of those types of battles.
The extra large poochyena slowly crumbled to the ground in a rather epic cinematic scene of being defeated at last. It emitting a final exhausted breath, blowing any loose dirt or dust at them in a whirl of smoke. It made Wolf sneeze for reasons not even she would understand. Perhaps, just a natural reaction to such a thing. She did let out a series of grumbles while wiping her nose, the fireworks and celebration music chimed throughout the abandoned city.
Pale golden orbs shifted to her pokemon, offering a small smile and praising nod. “Well done. All of you.” Ziryan held his head high, pride radiating off the creature. Riolu thrusted one fist forward, then the other before he puffed toughly. Nishari by her side let out a long soft meow, even purring while she softly nudged Wolf’s arm to get her to pet her. She did of course, scratching the top of the felines head.
Just as she spoke and the team startled to settle, the prompt to claim a poochyena or take the points popped up. It was a no brainer for her, happily taking the dark type as its one she doesn’t own yet and she had to always own every canine in every pokemon game ever. Unvor was no exceptation.

The player’s gaze shifted to above the semi truck sized poochyena, wolf like ears perked forward when the bar materialized and revealed the beast’s health in the red. “Finally,” Wolf breathed in relief, allowing the bosses health bar to disappeared again, “It’s almost over.” Pale golden orbs shifted to her pokemon, noting that next time she might attempt a no healer run to see how that goes. Not that Nishari didn’t do a killer job, but Wolf was more of the ‘beat the boss as fast as you can’ type than the ‘enjoy the battle’ type. At least, at this point in time.
It took a hot minute for the colossal creature to gather itself this time, panting heavily from exhaustion while it stumbled on its paws. All her pokemon took the time to assemble before her, all pair of eyes on the dark type canine as it finally recovered enough to look at them. Darkness was in its eyes, burning with the never ending desire to crush each and every one of them. If Wolf didn’t know that she was winning this time, she might have been more intimidated. But knowing she was going to win, this gave the player a confidence boost.
In, what looked like, a last ditch effort to win this battle, the poochyena began to barrel down the abandoned street. At first, it was slow moving. It was clear the creature has suffered some serious injured. However, it also gained speed in the short distance. Its muzzle parted, aiming for Ziryan first. Large yet tiny teeth came down onto the chimera, the sounds of both crushing of a body and the creature screaming in pain filled air despite being muffled by the canine’s mouth. Wolf’s heart sank, knowing this was all a game but the noises felt so real. “Ziryan!!”
Once the normal type stopped crying out in pain, the poochyena whipped its head to the side while letting go of his body. Almost lifelessly, his body went flying through the air and slammed into a crumbled up buildings last remaining wall. He hit hard, a poof of dust bellow out upon his impact before the creature fell onto of debris right below it. A low groan could be heard shortly after his landing. Although Wolf was sure it hurt him more than it hurt her, it still messed her up pretty badly.
Everyone was frozen in shock and disbelief, all of them waiting to see Ziryan get up to be sure he was alright. Because of this, none of them thought about the massive canine who was standing right in front of them. Its muzzle opened, ready to repeat the action on the next victim. Wolf seen the movement in the corned eye. Her mouth parted, about to shout for her pokemon to dodge even though Unvor didn’t allow. It chapped its teeth down on Riolu, nearly swallowing the small creature whole as it whipped its head back and forth. Ryoko let out a series of whines, only to get launched as well into the other size of buildings that lined the street.
The whole thing was like on repeat, the short furred canine’s body slamming into the mostly standing building and falling to the ground. Wolf wasn’t sure if she would handle watching her pokemon get hurt so badly. Yes, she was aware this was a game but it felt so real in the moment of time. “Nisha esca-“ It was too late, the poochyena already snagging the umbreons tail and waving her around like a flag. The player had to look away, it was too much for her animal loving eyes. The cries of pain filled her ears, only turning back when she heard her poor little dark type’s body hit the ground as well.
That was brutal to say the least. And while the poochyena took a few steps and throw its head back in a celebratory howl, her gaze looked over each of her pokemon. Surprisingly, each got to their feet and quite literally shook off it off. The dirty anyway. In the end, it was only her umbreon who seemed the most damaged as the feline limbed closer to her with an agony in her eyes. “Nisha. Sit this out. Let the boys handle his round. Come and rest next to me.” If only healers could heal themselves. The umbreon limbed swiftly up to Wolf, leaning into the players gentle pets before turning to sit next to her. With her little brave healer by her side, there was some unfinished business they needed to take care of.
By this time, the colossal boss was in the idle animation. It waited for them to make the next move. Both the type null and riolu managed to return to their spot in front of her, also waiting for her to call the next move. She took in a deep breath, praying silently that their attacks would do enough damage to end this battle. “Double Hit and Quick attack.”
Unlike in previous rounds, both creatures moved. The type null leaping upon some rubble to get himself at a higher angle. Meanwhile, the riolu simply charged forward. His arms fell back, running like those ninjas in that anime. His body encased in a white glow, suddenly moving much faster than he has before only to leap last minute to slam into the canines front right shoulder. It hollered in pain, taking a step back. Only, that wasn’t all it had to deal with. Ziryan used his environment to his advantage, getting much higher than his battling friend. Once he was at a decent height (eye level), the chimera leaped towards the beast’s right eye and crushed into him.
The dark type cried in pain, thrashing its head while Ziryan bounced off. Only, he landed on the same spot he started from. He pushed off the building again, going for another hit but this time clipping the poocheyna’s side muzzle with his talons. Loud screams of defeat erupted from the boss, stumbling back even more as it tried to recover from all the solid hits. Wolf’s gaze watched the health bar, praying it’s not gunna be one of those boss battles that regain health for another round.

Colossal Pokemon Attack (Easy) UidV1q2g2d30 If Supereffective: +20 *for the next postWolf’s gaze fell upon her support pokemon, grimacing at the sight of her umbreon lightly shaking and panting from exhaustion. For a moment, the hybrid silently contemplated on whether to switch Nisha out or keep her in. She was doing such a great job, both Ziryan and Ryoko have been on full health this entire time after each hit. Yet, it pained the player to see her umbreon straining so hard. Her mouth parted, about to ask her if she wanted to rest up. However, the poochyena already recovered and readied for the next round.
Its nose scrunched and lips lifted, baring its large yet still baby pearly whites and emitting a low displeased snarl at them all. Wolf’s heart skipped a beat. There was something about a semi truck sized poochyena that just didn’t sit right. The creature took in a deep breath, its chest expanding with the sudden intake. She wasn’t sure what it was about to do, but it didn’t look good with how much air it needed. There wasn’t much any of them could do other than “Brace yourself!”
The poochyena planted its paws firmly on the ground, clearly ready to let loose something. Wolf feared the worse, praying that whatever it was would knocked her team out in one blow. Its muzzle parted, a loud ROAR exploded from it. It was loud, shock waves of air pushed everything within its blast flying. This included Wolf, quickly crouching down as her hands reached out to shield her ears from the blast. And yes, both of them. She pulled her wolf ears down, using her arms to shield her actually human ears because she had no idea if both or only one worked. Meanwhile, loose dirty and debris when flying through the air. Also, her three pokemon.
Ziryan braced himself against the roar, actually doing quite well as he drug his talons into the broken up assault. Ryoko tried his best, only to be too light and when flying through the air. Thought luckily, it simply knocked him off his paws. Nishari also tried to endure the roar, also holding up well as the beast ran out of air and had to take in a breath. “GO NOW,” she shouted, much louder than she wanted too, “METAL SOUND AND ROCK SMASH!”
The type null sprang into action before his handler could even finish her order. His feet firmly planted into the ground, chest expanded to take in as much as he could. And when he couldn’t take in any more, the creature pushed all that air out. The sound he emitted was a nasty one, metal on metal scrabbling against each other causing the most irritable noise. While this noise forced the massive canine to flinch and cringe in pain, the tiny two legged canine found a suitable size boulder. He grunted, lifting the peace of grumbled up building into the air only to launch it at the foe’s head. It hit, the canine let out a sharp agony filled howl as it stumbled on its feet and shook its head knocking crumbles of debris off.
“Quick Nisha, another heal plz!” The umbreon let out a soft cry, small green particles floated off her body and danced swiftly to his team mates to give them a HELPING HAND once more. The two canine absorbed the healings, though Nisha tensed on pain once more. Wolf tried to ignore it, but it was hard to watch. She smiled, mouthing thank you to the creature when the strain subsided.

The words of warning didn’t go unnoticed by Wolf, quickly bracing herself as she motioned for her little dratini to wrap around her waist. “Ready,” she called out, holding her breath as she heard the rushed of water from behind and the blow of his water creature push the little boat faster than she could ever paddle it out of the whirlpool. In fact, the woman nearly lost her balance as she had to re-adjust her grip.
Once they were out of the whirlpool, Wolf took a breath. She forgot she was holding it the entire time. Pale golden orbs shifted to the other player, nodding as they named off all the objections and seemingly they cleared them all! “Yeah,” she sighed heavily, rotating her shoulder in the socket, “Rowing this thing was not easy. Thanks for the push by the way. Let’s head back to the docks and call this a done deal.” She wondered if this would unlock anything, Guess they’ll see when they get back.

The ultra beast came at her type null without a second thought. Its gloved appendage swung wide, managing to back hand Ziryan mid jump and send him across the sand landscape several feet out. The player cursed under her breath, unable to do anything other than watched her poor creature take a short flight before crashing into the hot sand. At least, the sand cushioned his fall some. The ultra beast softly snickered maniacally, its strange head turning to focus on Wolf. Her eyes widened. “Nope!”
Using her new Bolter subclass and running shoes, the hybrid avatar was at Ziryan’s side in a blink of an eye. His chest rose and fell, simply unconscious but not dead. Good. Good. She quickly recalled the beast, side glancing at the ultra beast to see it find her once more. Without a second thought, Wolf was off to heal up.
…
To be honest, if it wasn’t for Torino Wolf would’ve probably not came back. Personally, she didn’t find any of the ultra beast design attractive. And with no intentions of getting one or using it, calling it a lost was find with her. Yet, she didn’t want to abandon the other player. She seemed smarter, smarter than her in this game. And really, Wolf did need to start playing the game with others inside of always being an actual lone wolf here.
By the time she found the wild pokemon and the player, it appeared that Torino had already engage the beast. Loud explosions rung in her wolf earth, the ground quaking with such force. “Ziryan. Round two. This time. Kick its a**!” The type null emitted a low growl, it rattled in his helmet as his dark red eyes glared at it. “Go before it pops again.”
Without hesitation, the chimera moved. Talons and paws pressed into the sand, pushing himself faster and faster towards the formidable foe. And when he was within range, the creature leaped at it. Sharp talons flexed, landing on its head and flexing on it to pop it with a CRUSHing CLAW. The Ultra beast whaled in pain, air escaping its balloon like head as it wouldn’t build up the bomb again. The type null attempted to leap off the ultra beast in its stumbling agony, trying to get some distance before it counter attacked him in close range.

It was interesting to learn other players motivations and drives to join the beta testing of unovr games. Josh Devlin ’s reasonings was no exceptions to this. Wolf never thought about using this game in that way before. She has never ridden a horse in real life. Would riding an arcanine be different or the same? Or, neither? She assumed it would just be natural. Maybe, the player needed to look into that. “Oh… That’s interesting. I’ve never thought about that,” Wolf added.
The hybrid was lucky to have this player around for this mission, he generally seemed unfazed by whatever the game throw his way. While Wolf, struggled to keep herself cool in a situation even if it was a front. Yet, the sudden great pull towards the vortex did cause for alarm. Though she was tired, he did make a good point. “Yeah. Agree. I’m not sure how much energy I have left. Don’t want to get sucked down there.”
Taking in a deep breath, the wolf human hybrid rowed the boat harder to push her away from the pull. And as such, she followed the other players direction while she simply focused on rowing the damn boat. Why did she agree to doing this again? "What else do we need to do?"

Pale golden orbs lifted to the red rip that suddenly appeared in sharp contrast to the normal inky night sky. The atmosphere shifted in the park to follow, deep crimsons and royal toxic purple lights took over the once soft feel. A sense of a dark ominous foreign entity emerging from the unknown washed over the player, all nerve endings on high alert. A frown formed along her lips.
A black claw like hand reached out from the rip, its long fingerlike appendages flexed as it held a sizable bright green tennis ball in its grip. And it was at this moment, Wolf realized she wasn’t about to die. At least, not die from being attacked. Maybe die of laugher though. Who knows. She did crack a smile.
This time, both dogs wanted the extra large ball. Both equally excited, though still Zacian tried to control itself. Zamazenta on the other hand. Well, it was zamazenta. There was no other words than that. Of course, they pleaded for their help and Wolf wasn’t about to back down now. She has done this whole tower, this last round shouldn’t be too hard.
“Psykos,” the hybrid mumbled, summoning her espeon and watching her materialized before her, “See if you can CHARM that thing into giving us the ball.” The soft pink feline casted Wolf a look, long split tip tail twitched annoyed before strolling casually towards the thing. He tried to look cute, even letting out small meows and purring like an actually cat. Wasn’t Wolf’s cup a tea, but maybe it liked it? Prompt #108: [dogprompt]fJRVD1NW1d1001d100
