As soon as the wolf eared woman took her first step out of the professor’s lab with her new starter pokemon in her pocket, a little jingle sounded off into her ears and her first mission or quest was displayed in the top left corner of her field of vision. Her pale golden orbs flickered to the box, listening to the automated message of the classic ‘My baby’s all grown up. But wait, you forgot your running shoes. Come home and collect them before setting off’ prompt. A heavy sigh escaped her, knowing that this was a ‘must have’ in order to ‘run’ in this game.

A mini map flashed before her eyes, an indicator light flashed her current location. A dotted line was made to show the path to her ‘mothers house’ with a golden star marking its location. Not to far, but another marker appeared closer by. Her brows scorched, eyes narrowed at the marker. Was this her rival or something? Sighing, the woman let the mini map vanish. Her gaze took in her surrounding with awe, truly astonish by the life like scenery displayed before her. A cool warm breeze shifted directions, sending a light trickle of goose bumps beneath her thicker red coat. Again, amazed.

A beeping sounded interrupted her emersion into the game, ushering for her to meet up with this other trainer. Frowning, the silvery grey haired woman moved towards the direction of this other player. Rhaenyra took in the scenery as she walked, taking her time meeting up with this other player. Hope they didn’t mind. After all, this was Rhaenyra’s first time in the game.

As the silvery grey woman replied to the Professor’s random questions, the tall woman scribbled some notes onto her clipboard after each one she answered. Rhaenyra sat up straighter, leaning closer to attempt to see what she was writing. But just as she leaned in and almost got a peek to the scribbles, Rhaenyra nearly falling out of the damn seat. Luckily though, she caught herself before she fell. And once she did, the wolf human hybrid adjusted herself right in the seat again.

Rhaenyra answered the last question, eager to know what kind of starter pokemon fit her personality. She offered a very faint small smile, ears forward and pale golden orbs filled with wonder. A brow rose when the sound of ripping paper hit her ears, head tilted slightly when the Professor reached down to shove the paper into a cabinet. And apparently, it needed to be locked. Why?

The Professor gave a long thoughtful silence, her gaze shifted to the poster forcing Rhaenyra to look at the poster as well. She had her eye on a few of them. She wouldn’t mind a handful of fire types like the charmander, cyndaquil, fennekin, litten, or even the dopy looking fuecoco. Water types like totodile, mudkip, piplup, or froakie could work too. Grass type weren’t her favorite. But a few, she didn’t mind like rowlet and guess sprigatito wouldn’t be too back. Rhaenyra just prayed she didn’t get chespin or popplio. She didn’t really like them.

But in no time at all, the silver haired woman had made her choice. A single two toned sphere was extended out to her in her hands. Rhaenyra stood up out of her chair, too eager for her own good to see what it was. Pale orbs fell upon the ball, reading the word that was written in angular letters. Fennekin. A hint of a smile tugged the edges of her lips. She could handle a fennekin!

Quickly though, Rhaenyra realized she was out of character. She whipped the smile that attempted to appear on her face. Collecting herself, the silvery grey haired player nodded. “I’ll take a fennekin,” the woman replied, gingerly grabbing the sphere from the professors hand, “Thank you.” Once in her hands, the woman pulled the ball close to her. The surface on the ball was smooth and slightly cold, exactly like she always imagined it would. And honestly, smaller than she thought they would be. Forcing the grin that wanted to appear again, pale golden orbs lifted up back onto the Professor. What does she do now? Leave?

After the immersive beginning cut scenes like in most pokemon games she has ever played, Genesis, or Rhaenyra in this play through, expected to ‘wake up’ in a small child’s bedroom that she, apparently, had lived in during her younger years in this pokemon world. But when the pitch black darkness of transitioning scenes lightened, it revealed that she wasn’t in some random bedroom. Instead, Rhaenyra was in lab of some sort. A lab that didn’t look like other pokemon labs that should be remember. Pale golden orbs flickered left and right, taking in the scene that has been simulated before her. Silvery grey furred wolf ears twitched at the sound of a feminine, forcing her gaze to fell upon the tall silver haired woman behind a desk. Despite her being an NPC, she spoke and acted as if she wasn’t. Rhaenyra’s wolf tail twitched, a hint of a smirk spread across her lips. How intriguing.

When the mysterious woman mentioned a starter, her gaze turned to a poster promptly displayed on a large canvas wall. And on said poster, the iconic starter trios from each pokemon region known to this date was displayed. Like most pokemon aficionado who have been playing the games for years, everyone had their personal favorites from the starters listed. Rhaenyra has hers too. Her gaze swept over the ones she admired. She also had ones she didn’t like. Her gaze swept her the few she didn’t. Hopefully, she could pick one she liked here.

The sound of something being picked up forced her attention back to the tall woman, wolf ears perched forward when the professor was questioning her personality type and mentioned something about a … interview? Facial features twisted perplexed, never has she had to do an interview for a starter pokemon before. Usually, they offer the three pokemon. One fire, one grass, and one water. How strange. Either way, it’s not like she had much of a choice. Right?

“Oh… Alright,” the silvery grey haired woman replied, offering a small content smile in return, “You must be the Professor of Unovr. Yes. I’m Rhaenyra. It’s nice to meet you. What questions do you have?” Here we go.
