It was embarrassing to say the least. But given the warning before she even entered the area, she wasn’t surprised her Type Null got knocked out by that Ultra beast. However, she had to make this quick otherwise the other player might be out even faster.
"Do you want me to heal your Pokemon?" asks the nurse on duty. Her name is Nurse Bethan
“Yes and hurry,” the player practically button mashed through, her impatience showing for the first time in a very long time, “Lives are on the line.” Okay so maybe that was a lie, but Wolf felt like it wasn’t. She handed over the type null’s sphere, doing her best to be patient even though it felt like the NPC was moving slower than ever before. “Come on- come on- come on-“
As soon as he was heal, Wolf was gone. She had no time for chit chat. She was a player on a mission.

Wolf remained by Torino, observing from the corner of eyes as the player seemed to not noticed the type null in the shop and was shocked by its price. And as such, the player gave a pain nod. “It is unfortunately. I decided to spend the byte before upgrading anything. But, I do think it’s worth it in the end.”
Her own pale orbs flickered to her Type Null, observing silently for a moment as it attempt to be as badass as the three headed bird. “It is such an awesome design,” the player mumbled mostly to herself, “I would get another one if they weren’t so expensive and wans't limited to one.” She loved everything about the pokemon, Unvor really making the pokemon unique which is one of the first reason she loved it.
Movement bought her attention back to the other player, offering a small smile and nod when she claimed she would get it only after combining the right pokemon. And to be honest, Wolf didn’t think of that. She just took the first pokemon she has and did it. Maybe, that’s why she Type Null was struggling so hard against the ultra beast.
Speaking of Ultra Beast, the strange clown like creature llashed out at her creatures again. The blow sent Ziryan back several paces, though he somehow landed majestically on his paws/talon. Exhaustion was clear, his breath even louder though his helmet like head. “I think he might be close to done here soon,” Wolf mumbled, somewhat embarrassed that her Type Null was already wearing down, “I might need to retreat quick to heal.” Her gaze fell to the players pokemon, watching at it took a nasty hit from the beast. “You go ahead and heal quick. We’ll distract it for now. Just, hurry back. Ziryan is on his last bit of heath too.”
With that, it was time to distract. “Hang in there. Metal sounds!” The chimera like creature took in a deep breath, chest expanded with the sudden intake of air. And when ready, the Type Null’s muzzle burst open. An ear piercing noise erupted from deep within him, causing the Ultra Beat to flinched away in pain. “Go now,” Wolf said to the player if she hasn’t retreated already, fearing that it wasn’t going to be enough and her creature was about to be KOed too.

At the sight of the sphere, Wolf’s heart skipped beat. Man. She loved the growlithe line. She was quick to snatch the shinx from her pocket, being sure it was her extra shinx and not her luxio that she got the first time around in the cat tower before she listened to his rant. She offered the faintest of smiles, pointed wolf ear shifted back slightly as he began to attempt to justify the trade location. In the end, she herself didn’t really care. If he was into it, he was into it. That’s their choice. She just wasn’t.
But before she could say much else, the sphere was offered. Without her permission, the long wolf like tail attached just above her butt began to wag and her ears popped forward in full alert like a dog who found the ball. Again, he start to ramble about why he was getting rid of the pokemon. And much like she thought before, it didn’t matter to her. She’ll take all the growlithe is Unvor allowed her too.
"Thanks,” she replied, clearly more than excited to take the supper off his hands, “This shinx doesn’t have a name or anything either. I already have one. I do like the shinx line, but I don’t need two.” But, she NEEDED two growlithes. Tail still wagging, Wolf reached out and took the ball while placing the shinx in his hand. This was great, but wished her tail would stop wagging. That was kinda of embarrassing.

Although Wolf didn’t make a comment about the whole owning every pokemon with extreme speed thing, it seemed like daunting task to accomplish. Yet, everyone had their own way of playing the same. And honestly, the first pokemon that came to mind was her favorite pokemon of all time. Arcanine. It made her wonder when she will be able to get her hands on one. Normally, the growlithe line isn’t too hard to get in most games. But in Unvor, they made her favorite pokemon hard to get.
At the mention of the two ultra beast, the player was mildly impressed. She had yet to get any and hasn’t even bothered to attempt to catch them. Like mentioned before, they weren’t her favorite in design wise. Yet, the player had to ask out of curiosity. “What made you get those two? I mean like, only because they are rideable or do you like them or something?” The large needle on a nagandel gave her the creeps.
Pale golden orbs lifted to the sky when Josh Devlin spoke, noting that he was right. However, she wasn’t as familiar as he was with the area. “Do you think it’s a sign or something? Like, impending death or fortune?” Wolf herself wasn’t that type of person, but Josh seemed like player who really got into the games lore and maybe he knew a thing or two.

ZONE 3 Wolf and the team was teleported by the last minute escape thanks to Izumi, materializing into the next zone ready for whatever chaos they were about to enter in. But just as the hybrid and her team appeared, it seems the front team had already done their work. Color returns to the majestic solagleo once more, showering everyone with heated stardust. He speaks, Wolf still unable to understand what was being said. But judging by the ways others reacted, it was a good thing. Maybe?
A series of chimes rang and lights flashed, the mighty beast emitted a solarbeam that nearly blinded Wolf if she didn’t look away and shielded her eyes. By the time the player turned back, there was little left of what was the parasite Hearteater. It bellowed out in agony and desperation, fading out into a cutscene she was being forced watched.
—-
It was hard to see at first, the many different imagines seamlessly almost appearing as one. But soon, the game forces her to focus on one. It was zapdos, flying with humans on its back. The sense sensation of curiosity filled her, followed by a desire for want. For taste. It sends a shiver down her spine. It wasn’t a good sensation to her.
Then it shift once more, seeing a group of players in another scene. They dance almost carefree, seemingly unknown to their watcher. But as the controller of the many eyes demands for its minions to grab a snack, something blocks them. Deep anger and frustration bubbles within her, the desire for whatever the exotic food grows in intensity.
It shifted again, showing another scene of what the controller thought was normal and wanted more. It was a scene Wolf really didn’t want to see. Yet, she couldn’t bring herself to put the skip cutscene button. In the end, she did want to see. Wolf wanted to see why? Why this hearteater was here, and why does this want became greater the more it eats.
Time passes, the monster revealing pokemon it has stolen in order to force them to come. It was all a trap. The player knew this yet, here she was facing it. And in that moment of deepest desires, the cutscene ended and it was back to the trap.
—-
It clung onto its life, howling at them in that same language Wolf didn’t understand. For the moment, forgetting she had an ultra beast herself that could try and translate for her. Yet, she was too engross to think about things like this. Pale golden orbs watched the word hearteater come up, the creature speaking while the letters shift. It read another. Wolf’s brows scrunched, puzzled. It seemed frustrated, attempting another time. Failing. Does it hate rats? Again. Fail. Wolf stifled a chuckled. Eat the rear. That’s just gold.
It shrieks, unable to translate into the human language so we the players can understand. And as such, it lashes out at everyone in rage. “Duck and cov-“ It was too late, the dark mass of energy came out like an unstoppable tsunami force. It hit everyone, leaving no one without critical damage. Wolf braced, feeling nothing herself but hearing the screams and shouts of many others. Including, poor Izumi.
Pale golden orbs shifted widely to her Braxien, frowning as the fire fox was out for the count. “No! Izumi,” Wolf called out, rushing and kneeling down next to her support creature, “Are you okay?” She prayed she was only knocked out, and nothing more. “I think she’s just knocked out,” Ziryan grumbled through his helmet. Wolf’s shifted to him, digits no longer the deep red like before. Instead, a strange teal color has changed them. Was that the corruptions fault? “Are you okay?” The creature casted her a look like “duh”. The player looked up at poipole whom seemed to also take damage, but not out. “Are you okay?” It nods. Her gaze fell upon her poor little start, recalling her as she mumbles softly in her pointed fox ears. “Rest my girl. You did well.”
Just as the creature disappeared, the ground beneath their feet collapses. Wolf inherently screams, only for an ultra beast to stop her fall along with her creatures. “Thanks,” she whispered breathlessly to the ultra beast as it safely places on her the ground. It nods, only for all eyes to be on Hearteater once more as it shouts bitterly.
Words and shouts erupted from all players around her, Wolf quick to summon her greninja whom has been tucked away safely in her pockets for this moment. With her team ready, the player turned to Poipole whom seemed no longer fighting the control of the Hearteater. She motioned for it to come to her, embracing the creature before giving it a firm nod and turning back to the boss. “Let’s go team. Ziryan, use Air slash. Cragen, Night Slash. And Poipole— Nefarious, Venoshock!” Much like in those last big fight in the movies, her creatures responded all at once. The type null leaping into the air. Head swung wide, sending several blades of sharp air at the boss. Cragen shifted his weight like he was pulling out a weapon only to send out a dark energy slash. And last but not least, her new befriended poipole aimed its tiny stringer at the ex boss and fired several toxic balls at it.
The question is, will it be enough….

ZONE TWO ESCAPING TO ZONE THREE It was a good sight to see she wasn’t the only one lagging behind the front lines of this raid, pale golden orbs flickered from player to player in an attempt to see if she recognized anyone. However, the mad dash to reach the next zone made it near impossible for her to fully register anyone at this point. And instead of searching for allies, Wolf focused on pushing to the next zone towards the enemy. As she did so, a red timer appeared and began to flashed counting down.
The final boss has been activated.
“If we’re supposed to be a team, why didn’t they wait for us at least a little longer?” The player blurted out in a grumbling growl, slightly annoyed that now she really needed to kick her new Bolter speed into high gear. Even as the red mist thickened and warnings of high density corruption buzzed in her pointed ears, the player pushed past it in order to make it to the final boss without being kicked from the raid. But as the group made their mad dash, the corruption in the air made it hard to breathe. And poor Ziryan, even more difficult with the helmet on his head. “Hold your breath,” the woman shouted to her team, “Try not to breathe it in.”
It was too late. While the braxien’s cheeks swelled from the sudden intake of air and Wolf’s chest expanded to hold hers, the type null was unable to hold it for long with the restrictions he was forced to deal with on his head. The further they pushed, the harder it was for him to hold it for longer and the more air he was forced to take. It didn’t help when a Guzzlord spotted her, eyeing her curiously and moved to block their path.
The same prompt from before popped up in her UI, offering her to befriend this one as well. Wolf hesitated, hard. Pale golden orbs widened at the sheer size of the ultra beast, feeling as though it would eat her otherwise in a single snack size gulp. Though, what harm could it do. Right? Right. Reaching out carefully and slowly, the plater place her hand on the creatures massive claw. She closed her eyes, trying to show the same memory she shared with the poipole
Much like before, the memory she wanted to share didn’t come up. And as such, the player backed out imminently and turned to flee. It roared with life, mouth opened wider as it lunged for them. “Poipole escape us,” she shouted, running towards the exit of this zone and entrance into the new zone. But as the order came out, the ultra beast froze once more unable to complete her request. The player rolled her eyes and mumbled something under her breath alone the lines of ‘serious game’.
The guzzlord roared, stomping after them at breaking speeds for such a large beast. “Zirya-“ Wolf started, only to see in the corner of her eyes that her the type null growling and whipped its head back and forth. It was almost like he was fighting his own demans or something. Mild panic filled her, unsure of what was really going on but knew they needed to get out of here or they were going to be guzzlord’s treat. She turned to her braxien, noting the concern look in her healers eyes but ignoring it for now. “Izumi escape us now!”
In the blink of an eyes, the team teleported to the next zone barreling scaling the snapping jaws of the ultra beast in hot pursuit. Of course, Wolf seen a chunk of crystal that gleams with brilliant light and had to snatch it last minute.
